Just had someone buy some Skyline parts from me from my home address. To make the story short, He decided to drop a very decent burnout in my residential street (50KM zone). He hit high speed & came very close to my Girlfriend while she was on the way here. About 15-20 minutes later I had a very irate Neighbour (maybe a cop) come over & demanded "who's car is that" while writing down my rego.

I asked him what his problem was & he said 8 other people saw "my" car (both are white) doing this burnout & driving like a madman. He would not listen to anything I said, so then I kept his door open for a while, to talk, but he didn't like the idea of listening. Just wanted to blame someone, don't really blame him, but he does owe me an Apology & if I see him I give him a nice big smile & ask him how the investigation is going.

:(

I just told him to get himself down to the local police station with my rego number.

I rang the police 30 minutes later, as I had other custermers here & told them about the situation. I actually spoke to the same Officer who received the complaint originally, & guess what - He was very co-operative & told me that they had the right rego number & I had nothing to worry about.

(Now I have to be weary of my Screamer pipe) :P

So If the person who bought those parts off me reads this post, don't disrespect someone who is selling you parts, & you got those parts cheap remember. watch yourself or you could be looking at #@%$*^??? & remember the police don't forget once they have enough complaints.

Maybe he decided to do the burnout because he saw my dynosheet & wanted to prove something? I was 18 once too, but what he did was dangerous & this shit keeps giving Skyline drivers problems.

Not Happy, Enough Said.

everyone loves hellies, when someone comes over my house for the first time, if he dont rip a hellie/ burnout/smoke shop, he'll never be invited to my place every again.

rules to live by

I don't think it's a good idea to name names. Will turn this thread into a flame war.

I think the young fella who caused grief to R33RWKW should send an apology to him. No need to cause him grief, let alone anyone. R33RWKW was also gracious enough not to publicly name him because there would be instant flamage on this post.

Yes, I don't want to name him & get him flamed, seriously thought about it though, but some (not meaning all) P-Platers with HKS gear can't help themselves. He might learn one day himself, but hopefully without injuries or death, maybe just a broken ride.

But if the Police came around to my house & did a thorough inspection of my car, - He would have been named. I was pretty lucky, casue I just found out a police officer lives directly opposite me (not local though), & I don't think he was home at the time.

However, I will make future buyers aware of the problems caused last time by that C**T, so it hopefully won't happen again.

Cheers.

was it a good burnout? My mates have done it numerous times, i guess its all fun and games as long as its not taken too far.. My 2 cents..

Yeah, because if it was good it makes it perfectly okay to do it, and legal too. Especially in a residential street with other road users.

Yeah, It was VERY decent (8 different neighbours complained) - But there are better places to do it (not around kids - 50km zones etc..) & there wasn't enough road space really, so he would have burned his brakes a fair bit.

i know how u feel mate!!!! i get burnouts out the front of my street from all the hoons, that drive past, trying to leave an impression when they see my car out the front, and all i get is continuous complaints and visits from the police telling me that my car has been reported and any future complaints will be taken seriously, bla bla bla....

im sick of it, cause i myself have let the occassional smoke poor out the back of my line, and when the neighbors happen come out seeing me do it, just makes them think "here we go again, he says it not him"!!!!

heheh if i was your neighbour and i saw you doing a burnout id also think "here we go again, he says its not him!!"

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
