Price sounds good to me. Where do you get the extra 5 chargers required from though? I see him offering 5 and us needing 5 thus having enough. The only thing he isnt offering is the car charger, is that correct?

If we use other accessories, does it affect the warranty in any way?

**EDIT Ah I see you mean extra 5 car chargers.

we need to find out how much it's going to cost to buy 5 car charges or the accessories and 10 of them.. that way we add up the differences see which is a more viable option... also take into consideration not getting accessories will/should reduce the price of the unit it's self..

Alright i started a new thread cause the other ones already 20 million pages (3... same shit) long.

This is the list we have so far. West - need to confirm what bits u want.

1. Abusd - main unit. cig charger. normal charger. batteries (Possibly up to 3 sets)

2. Dezz - main unit. cig charger. normal charger. batteries

3. West- unit, normal charger, batt

4. West- unit, normal charger, batt

5. West- unit, normal charger, batt

6. Ferni

7. Mavric - main unit. cig charger. normal charger. batteries

8. Saff_cossie - main unit, cig charger, normal charger, batteries

9. Jackie

10. Freddy Kruger - main unit. cig charger. normal charger. batteries

OK well this is what i have so far...

I have been talking to a guy from ebay about a group buy (the same one i bought mine off which should be on its way). This is the sums of it:

So for 10 people that works out to $55 but we would still need to buy 5 other chargers and other accessories people wanted. Which could probably be done through jaycar. maybe all of them... maybe tell him not to worry about accessories? we get them our selves?

What ya think bitches?

Thanks Nark!

cheers koala!

ok i will email him when i get home asking on costs of just 10 units instead alone... cause he charges too much for batteries and other things.

will update the original post tomorrow morning and let u all know. Might organise a GB of the units them selves through this guy and the accessories through the other or Jaycar depending whats cheapest.

cheers koala!

So basicaly we're getting the units alone off this guy right? We then try to arrange something off Jaycar or Tandy..to get the accessories?

Neither way just let me know how much and when, can't wait lol.

sounds good nark. this was what i was going to talk to you about on MSN, so its all good. you've done it all already :P

im in still obviously.

and I think we can do the accessories through jay car, as the order total will go over $100, and thats all we need to get the discount according to shan.

and those accessories will come with the warranty as well, so its all good. also, the batteries from jaycar are the better 1's as funky mentioned...better than the ebay 1's that guy is selling.

Frunk, just copy the list and put what accessories you want mate :P

Any photos? Looks like it could be a worthwhile investment --> (lookout for cops when cruising/driving/racing)

except they say digitalk and not digitech :P

accessories include

normal charger

cig plug charger

rechargable batteries

VOX headset

carry pouch

They wont pickup the police :P

The police now use a digital system... (it might be encrypted as well.. if not.. it will be soon)

there about $500-1000 for a digital scanner..

    • The rain is the best time to push to the edge of the grip limit. Water lubrication reduces the consumption of rubber without reducing the fun. I take pleasure in driving around the outside of numpties in Audis, WRXs, BRZs, etc, because they get all worried in the wet. They warm up faster than the engine oil does.
    • When they're dead cold, and in the wet, they're not very fun. RE003 are alright, they do harden very quickly and turn into literally $50 Pace tyres.
    • Yeah, I thought that Reedy's video was quite good because he compared old and new (as in, well used and quite new) AD09s, with what is generally considered to be the fast Yokohama in this category (ie, sporty road/track tyres) and a tyre that people might be able to use to extend the comparo out into the space of more expensive European tyres, being the Cup 2. No-one would ever agree that the Cup 2 is a poor tyre - many would suggest that it is close to the very top of the category. And, for them all to come out so close to each other, and for the cheaper tyre in the test to do so well against the others, in some cases being even faster, shows that (good, non-linglong) tyres are reaching a plateau in terms of how good they can get, and they're all sitting on that same plateau. Anyway, on the AD08R, AD09, RS4 that I've had on the car in recent years, I've never had a problem in the cold and wet. SA gets down to 0-10°C in winter. Not so often, but it was only 4°C when I got in the car this morning. Once the tyres are warm (ie, after about 2km), you can start to lay into them. I've never aquaplaned or suffered serious off-corner understeer or anything like that in the wet, that I would not have expected to happen with a more normal tyre. I had some RE003s, and they were shit in the dry, shit in the wet, shit everywhere. I would rate the RS4 and AD0x as being more trustworthy in the wet, once the rubber is warm. Bridgestone should be ashamed of the RE003.
    • This is why I gave the disclaimer about how I drive in the wet which I feel is pretty important. I have heard people think RS4's are horrible in the rain, but I have this feeling they must be driving (or attempting to drive) anywhere close to the grip limit. I legitimately drive at the speed limit/below speed the limit 100% of the time in the rain. More than happy to just commute along at 50kmh behind a train of cars in 5th gear etc. I do agree with you with regards to the temp and the 'quality' of the tyre Dose. Most UHP tyres aren't even up to temperature on the road anyway, even when going mad initial D canyon carving. It would be interesting to see a not-up-to-temp UHP tyre compared against a mere... normal...HP tyre at these temperatures. I don't think you're (or me in this case) is actually picking up grip with an RS4/AD09 on the road relative to something like a RE003 because the RS4/AD09 is not up to temp and the RE003 is closer to it's optimal operating window.
    • Either the bearing has been installed backwards OR the gearbox input shaft bearing is loosey goosey.   When in doubt, just put in a Samsonas in.
