yeah thats the one if anyone needs them...im gonna get me a car charger too

my joint... this week im working til 9pm (so after 9 if ya want)... friday however im working til 330pm... anytime after that providing im home :P

just ring me before hand to see where i am... or set up a time on the weekend either at my joint or the factory

yeah, readin up on that you cant use the car charger to power the cb radio  meh, you gotta use the same plug for the charger as for the VOX so yeh... the batteries shouldnt go flat in a hurry anyway.

Well done Ni. Very pleased with mine and currently trying to intercept some conversations around the bayside area. For some reason not many residents seem to be using CB's :D

Thanks for organising it and see you sometime soon mate :D

haha no worries.

yeah it depends what channel and what time... during the day early in the afternoon theres a lot of bumpkin babble :P

ive still got ABuSDs at home... and urs jax... and fernis i will post urs out today so u should get it wednesday latest

The reason would be that you've got about a 500 metre line of sight transmission range with a handheld.

There's an extremely good chance that even if you can hear people, they won't be able to hear you, because the majority of UHF users have a minimum 3+ watt output, which means that unless you are using a repeater, you'll probably only be able to talk to people on the same block as you.

I don't like your chances of being able to hit a repeater with a handheld either, unless you're standing right under it!

25+ watts and a beam will squash you every time. :)

ive picked up people in Bendigo and Frankston chatting on mine. No bastard can hear me tho :P the supermarket where i work, the managers use cbs to talk to each other... havent had a chance to see if i can pick em up...

Thanks for the information. :P It was supposed to be sarcastic though but a bit difficult to convey :P I have used them out in the country a fair bit when on dirt bikes which is where this will come in handy as well as the cruises. B)

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
