The last 2 practive meetings are on the next 2 Saturdays. I intend to come out to practice for both days with my 32. It would be nice to see some familiar faces and cars there. Are any one free and keen to play on these days :D ?

Danh, let us know for sure if you're heading out to AIR. I'd like to see her hit that strip. My car needs servicing, so unless by some miracle I get it done before Saturday I won't be racing.

EDIT: with rain forecast for Thursday, Friday and Saturday will it even be on?

Come out this weekend guys!!!

Im interested. my car isnt quite 100% yet, but i would like to do a couple of laps, even just medium pace ones just to see what its like.

If the sun comes out to shine, I will come out to play :)

I will let you know for sure prob on Friday mate.

Car being serviced tomorrow, so I'm a possible starter for the drags myself!

Wooohoooo

can't wait to see the burn out again :)

I'll make sure I won't be behind you or have the window down again

Andy is there any chance that you could be dropped off at Willall at around 1030. I can give you a lift to Lala from there. Sorry I have a work meeting on early Sat morning otherwise I could have drop by.

$50 Sam.

Possibly $5 extra for ANDRA day licence as well (it was last time).

You need a helmet, long sleeves/pants, closed shoes, coolant overflow. Cars are scrutineered, so you must have matching axle pairs for tyres, battery firmly secured etc. They'll let you know if there is anything you need to change/fix.

Sorry about the smoke Danh. Foot slipped. Ash started it.

hehe .... I have video out the back window of that car during the smoke incident

I am not sure how things will pan out Danh - I might give you a ring Saturday morning or will let you know tomorrow. I am not DEFINITELY coming, but am quite likely at this stage. I am almost definite for the drags Saturday night though. I would love to cruise out to Lala in your new beast though, will let you know!!!!!

thanks for that info Will.

also another question - im not sure what format the mallala prac day follows, but how do i go about doing laps without an oil-cooler?

do i do a full lap, then a cool down lap then leave the track until temperatures settle a bit? or can i do another proper lap after a slower lap?

what procedure do you other oil-cooler-less people follow?

hmm, i dont think ill go for the mallala practise day yet, as i still have a few things to sort out before i hit the racetrack.

but im keen on going to AIR for the drags, hopefully ill see you guys there! :D

The track day was great - awesome to see Keir's 'street' (= old 9 second race car) R32GTR out there .... and Danh's new R32GTR, which is pumping out some serious power. Pity about some mechanical problems, but you get that.

Was nice to see the Lambo Gallardo and other cars at the Willall stable also!

Sorry we didn't head out to the drags Sam, Duc and Deluxe - went to the Casino to play some Texas Hold'Em Poker instead! Thanks for the SMS anyhow!

Sorry guys. I could not make it to AIR last night.

My dogbox broke just right after warm up laps. This box meant to be indestructible if you know how to drive it.....yet it broke while in 3rd gear :P Depending on the cause some one is going to hear my resentment and frustration next week! F@#%ing spewing.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
