Well after tonnes and tonnes of phone calls, emails and door knocking; I finally have my new rims! Been searching for an entire week but no one seemed to have them in stock :) Got on the phone with a few mates and through a chain of connections managed to land myself a sweet deal on the 18" Impul copies in Deep Dish :D from Tempe Tyres.

The Gear:

18 x 8.5 Front with Kumho 235/40 ZR13 92W Ecsta Supra

18 x 9.5 Rear with Kumho 265/35 ZR18 93W Ecsta Supra

Leftovers:

17" R34 GTT Stock Rims with Bridgestone Regano tyres.

* If you are interested in these rims for whatever reason, please feel free to send me a PM with an offer.

Special Thanks:

* Robbie who helped me organize the deal with Tempe

* John from Tempe Tyres who was really helpful and friendly

* rukus, ecl, wink, A New Tattoo and d00dz for coming along for the fun!

LOL my IC isn't crooked... just the way we have cut the front lip makes it look that way :P Maybe it's time to bring out the angle grinder again!

d00dz: yeah there was a set of lock nuts put in so that's cool :) Although, I have heard from a few people that the lock nuts from Tempe don't actually work :)

ecl: yeah, tell me about the farkin' wait ehh?

Well time to finish painting my eyelids :D See how they look with the new setup!

PS: d00dz and ecl, I'll see if I can string together that event for the 26/12/2005. Oh praise CALIPER DAY!

Oh BTW, if anyone is after some quality Tempe Tyres seat covers... let me know, I have one spare in White :) The other is currently protectin' my computer chair from the elements!

Thanks Dave,

Now how about a hook up with those stock rims :)

Also, could you please have a look at the brake caliper day thread and see if you could hook us boys and girls up with cheap paint from your work?

MAR55S: tsk tsk tsk, always the same old comedian :D

n15m0: pics have been uploaded in another thread; think it's in the general car discussion section (sorry lost track); they look different to yours :D Not as wide...

    • Maybe they'll look to do a bunch of presales to help inject some cash fast for their financial issues...
    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
