has anyone had this problem or have any ideas on how to fix it

thanks, Mark

"Is your car lowered or using coilovers???" This was the first question a guy at autobarn asked me when i had this problem in my silvia. I was blowing globes on a regular basis too and had stiff coilovers. Apparently they shatter the filaments very easily when ur car is lowered or has hard suspension. Replaced the coilovers with normal sports suspension and problem has disappeared!

arctic blue is the problem. those are rice globes. have you noticed that the non white phillips globes are road legal. but the guy where you bought it from shoulda told you that they're not road legal, coz of the short lifespan.

it's pretty obvious you won't be defected for it, as a cop won't know shit. but the down side is they don't last long. Mine used to blow abobut once a month.

the reason is, the blue coating makes the light bluer, but therefore, not as bright. to make up for it, they overpower the filament. which shortens it's life

I got all rice once upon a time and replaced my low beams with arctic blues. The first one lasted about 2 months, the other maybe 6.

Bought another set, same story.

Bought pure white globes, never looked back.
