R32 Gtr Nismo

Recommended Posts

GTR Nismo Editions were produced from February 22, 1990, has a total production of 560 units.

Its purpose is to homologate a number of aerodynamic changes used in Group A racing.

Nismo R32 GTR's were for cooling / aerodynamic / cosmetic purposes.

- 2 air ducts in the front bumper to improve airflow to the intercooler.

- Bonnet lip spoiler to direct more air into the radiator / engine bay

- Boot lip spoiler to provide more downforce.

Are rear wheels arch Spat was added to the side skirts.

The 'Nismo' GT-R was only available in Gunmetal Grey.

Performance / Mechanical = same as the base model but came from factory with the Nismo Body kit and making it a Genuine one, there would have been a Nismo Sticker on the boot lid and I believe some sort of plaque / build plate stating it is a Genuine Nismo R32 GTR.

Yeah,

R32 GTR N1, was the only one that came with the N1 engine and N1 turbo's.

The N1 turbo's would have ran a high boost pressure of 1 Bar (from memory) with steel internals, which made the turbo chargers stronger then the ceramic internals on the other R32 GTR models.

Produced on July 19, 1991, was designed for home-market N1 racing with a total of 228 units were made.

This R32 GTR separates itself from the rest of the R32 GTR's as the engine, which was upgraded to the R32-N1 specification.

The removal of the ABS, air conditioning, sound system, rear wiper, boot carpet, and the use of light-weight headlights + no other colours were available except a thin layer of Crystal White paint.

All in order to save / reduce the weight of the car.

A factory front mount intercooler yes.

Suspension, computer, exhaust... Would have been all stock from factory... Until you installed aftermarket items... If that is what you are asking...

what about the power figures, torque and 1/4 mile, 0-100 and all that?

all the figures ive found have told me that the 32 GTR is 0.2secs quicker over the 1/4 than the 33 and the same 0-100 and 1/4mile as the 34. anyone got genuine firgures for all the GTR models?

did all the 32 nismos come with the 260klm speedo? if so im after one because im pretty sure mine was swapped over for a normal GTR speedo with less klms.

Due to the "Gentlemens" Agreement in Japan, no car could exceed over 206 kW's.

So couldn't give you an exact power figure unless you dyno it.

From memory R32 GTR was being the lightest of all 3 GTR's.

0-100 km/h times I have seen between 4.7 sec to 5.3 sec / 1/4 mile times range from 12.8 sec to 13.7 sec, varying from different 'published' magazines, as I will not take website info as solid evidence, more so a guide...

All Skylines would have came with a 180km/h speedo until you find the R34 GTR V-Spec II Nur's and M-Spec Nur's that will have factory 300km/h speedo.

260km/h and 320km/h Speedo's would be aftermarket Nismo ones.

i own a 32 gtr Nismo edition, the build number should be XXX100 thats how you tell if they are one or not.

they Come factory with N1 steel Wheel Turbos, No abs, No rear wiper and are rated 60kg lighter than the factory gtr. They also dont have lil things like the radio buttons on dash.

It was an option for the buyer to have Aircon and a radio, my one has both.

and also the full nismo kit as stated above. there is a couple of other lil things but i cant remember them atm.

are you 100% the N1s are standard? my nismo has the N1s and they look like they have been factory fitted because there are no tool marks or anything as such around the turbo area. im still sitting on the fence about it though.

does yours have a nismo speedo???

I am pretty sure Deano 1 is correct.

If you have doubts, you can get your VIN Number and do a FAST Check.

^^ Post your VIN Number in the thread above and someone can decode it for you to tell you exactly what your R32 GTR came with.

Hey mate, I'm gonna assume you've just bought the car in your avatar - congrats!

I had a look at it... was very tempted, nice car. I can tell you that from what I looked at, and after doing a Nissan FAST check, it's a genuine Nismo. Of course, it's now white so it doesn't have all the hallmarks of the Nismo version.

Any thoughts on those Mods changes or better ideas? Want to try keep the car Street/Strip While also being weekend drivable still.
