Can anyone confirm if they were allowed to run yesterday with an open face helmet with just AS1698 but no :2006?

I saw some for sale at ALDI today for just $40, but remembered this thread saying 1698 was different to 1698:2006.

Willowbank's website says:

"Approved Open Face Helmet – AS 1698 min"

Can anyone confirm? The full face one got so hot yesterday.

All the boosts were escaping were they ants?

nah. Boost was there as the MPH supports that, but probably had some small boost leak.

it's about practice really.

A return trip to willowbank is in order Id say

why only 2?

Lost both my thermo fans, one spat a blade which broke the brackets and it smashed into the other one causing the power cables to beak. Only managed to to get it fixed after 4pm so I drove home while it was still light in case it stuffed out again, which it did. Plus I cooked my clutch :(

I don't think that was there when we fixed the coil overheat issue, I remember looking at the pretty pipes and I didn't see it and is quite obvious in the photo. I think it must have happened on the last 2 runs

Spent yesterday arvie pulling the box out :(

Thinking it is something on the linkage instide that is broken, not the gears itself (it is a f**king new box ffs).

Yet to open the box up for a look. Still no engine out :P
