How To Clean Spoked Wheels.
MANWHORE replied to The_Bazzanator's topic in General Automotive Discussion
The thought of that is just so wrong... -
Today, I went to maccas to get breakfast with my friend. He has a supra. It turns out that the supra forum was running a cruise up to the entrance. We didn't have anything to do, so my friend asked if it was ok if we joined them (I was in my skyline). They said it was alright for him to join them, but "it would be better off if your friend didn't come with us. there are guys here that don't like skylines or their drivers". I don't know, but I didn't think that was very nice. On sau cruises, cars of all kinds are welcomed.

How To Clean Spoked Wheels.

whoa, that would be very nasty to clean! I suppose a brush like wink showed. i feel relieved i only have 5 spokes. -
Bascially, you are right about the TT and boost controller. They're pretty inconspicuous. The cops generally just pull skylines and other imports over because they have a bad name. While I don't like it, I don't blame them. Generally the cops are good if they see that you're just a nice person minding your own business. There have been experiences of peopel on the forums showing otherwise. e.g. the cops checking all the ligts on the car and if a globe is blown, you get a defect. That is not fair, considering, you didn't get a chance to rectify it.

Installing Oil Filter Relocator On Rb26
MANWHORE replied to cowie165's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
Oh, just a quick warning for ya. I have a friend who installed one of these recently. They're great once you get it all good iwthout leaks. when he first put it on, it wasn't quite right. The engine oil leaks very quickly if you dont' ahve it right. He leaked out about 2 or so l of oil in maybe 1 minute? there was a massive puddle on the floor. -
Installing Oil Filter Relocator On Rb26
MANWHORE replied to cowie165's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
You're an absolute genioius with that oil filter wrench! I've tried a few different 'proper' wrenchs and they have never worked. Many people have said hammer a screwdriver trhoguh it, but i've been weary just in case if I still can't get it out, then i can't drive it either. So far, what i've been doing is cleaning the filter very well. Then washing my hand very well, so I can get a grip on it and just turn it. If onyl I knew about those grippy pad things. What are they called? -
You can do it yourself. I personally have not done this by myself, so you might not want to listen to everything i say. But i have helped a friend do it. Depending on your mechanical abiltiy, it's not actually hard to do. All the intake piping and stuff all over the place comes off. The most difficult thing about removing the manifold is that the bolts will be very tight and in hard to reach places. You will most likely break bolts. Also, you might not be able to get the stock manifold back on after you take it off, because it might have warped.

Then again, there are more cops that are fair and reasonable then there are those that are not.

It seems like it's up to the cop. Sometimes they will fine you, sometimes you just have to fix it. From what some people say on the forums, it can be very expensive if they fine you for each item. I always thought i would try and make my car as legal as possible, but sometimes, cops can be unreasonable.

I thought that there is nothing wrong with waxing the car. It is silicon based products that make new paint not stick?

Replacement / Repair Of Vspec Diff
MANWHORE replied to paulr33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
gtr stock diff is a waste of money. People charge around 600 for the diff alone. I was told that you still need the shafts and everythingbecause it has a different pattern. Furthermore, the gtr diff is second hand. It'll probably be in the same condition as yours. A brand new kaaz/nismo/cusco can be had for around the 1100 mark. Straight fit in. I know which one i'd choose. But the A-lsd is supposed to be superior to the standard gtr diff anyways, because it was in the v-spec. So, I'd be interested to know how much it is to reco the v-spec unit. -

MANWHORE replied to paulr33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Paul33 I will be watching this thread very very very very closely. You know i'm very itnerested in the A-lsd, and it is very much an uncharted territory here on sau. As far as i'm aware, it is a mechanical diff which is activated using the oil pump. Have you tried bleeding the fluid? Some say that it's supposed to use attessa fluid - that is, nissan special pas fluid. I would be very much interested to hear what happens. -
YES!!!!! busy2k. Right on the money there. It's hard to beleive, but when fully closed, the ecv basically sits perpendicular to the pipe. Yet for some reason, it still manages to let gas through due to the force of the gas pushingg it open slightly.

Can You Fit Gtr Front Onto Gtst
MANWHORE replied to \>sl33kLine</'s topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
You actually can on an r32. I've done it. Everything bolts up fine. You just need to push the edges in when you bolt them on. The frornt bar reo doesn't fit though, but if it's trimmed for a fmic, it will fit. -
That's what I said above. The stuff made by the bogans of this country is even worse quality again. My dump/front was bought off a recommended seller of this forum. same issue. I had to spend 2 days geting the stuff modified etc. Like the advertisement supporting aussie stuff should say - Shit Quality. Overpriced. Built by lazy bogans.

To Buy A Turbo Coupe Or Invest My Hard Earned Cash?
MANWHORE replied to Rolls's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Oh ok, that's awesome. my parents are like that too. I'd describe them as supportive. They give advice, but don't force me to do things. They realise that i am an adult. I reckon with me, it's just something that I had to do, otherwise i would have always wondered what it is like to be young and own a sports car. It's not totally one or the other anyways. After I bought my car, I have actually got a better casual job while still at uni. I'm working about 2 days a week, nad i've actually saved up quite a decent amount of money. I've thoguht about investing in shares etc now. -

MANWHORE replied to Rolls's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Ok, I don't think you should go off and get a loan. That just makes life unpleasant having to pay interest and repayments every week. Don't worry what your parents say. Honestly, so many people are like that that I know. Especially the asian, indian, and habib ones. The aussies and their parents seem to be more laid back. At this age, you're 21? well I am. you can't be worried about what your parents think and let them control you for your whole life. -

To Buy A Turbo Coupe Or Invest My Hard Earned Cash?
MANWHORE replied to Rolls's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Once you start working,m things are very different to being at uni. I have friends that have finished their courses because they are shorter than mine. I have a friend who saved every single cent since he was 5 years old. he has about 15k. On the other hand, I spent all my hard earnt savings on buying my skyline. I've had a lot of fun. I am now 21. My car is part of what makes my life fun atm. I don't care much about having 15k cash. what use is it? I'll still be living at home when I graduate. Starting salaries for my degree are about 50. so in the first year, I can make 50. I'm not going to deprive myself all this time just to save a lousy 15k. -

You only have 10k. you're young. have fun. What use is 10k? you'd be full depriving yourself of fun at this age that you're suppopsed to be having fun. I dunno what course you'll be doing, butu when I graduate, i'll be making 10k in 2 months. Ask yourself, is it worth depriving yourself for 3 years over what you can make later in 2 months? -
R33 Series 1 Conversion To Series 2 Lights
MANWHORE replied to blackbeast's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
It's not just the yellow colour. sII headlights have a clear lens with nothing behind it. sI headlights have that outer lens, which has all gay patterns on it. Then it still has an inner lens. it looks pretty ugly. The sII light looks all sparkly and nice. -
As said eac to their own. I'm sure that it would look better without them, but I find them handy. in the rain, you can open a slight gap in the window and just get some fresh air without water getting in. same as using the window washer.

I deleted what I said because i'm sick of getting flamed. Nate31 is correct. Everything he has said is correct. Listen to what he says. he is game enough to say what is true even though many will flame him.
