I guess that's why I like to get a complete quote, rather than an hour based quote. Sometimes hour based quotes can end up cheaper, but if you pay for time and somethign goes wrong, the meter really starts ticking. 250 may seem steep providing everything bolts straight up and no dramas, but usually there are. If UAS had to spend 4 hours doin git, then suddenly that 250 seems like good value

Um, as everyone else said, you get what you pay for. whether you want a workshop to look after your car, or do the quick and dirty and get you out of there ASAP. Basically, you have to factor in gaskets. New bolts. What happens if they break a bolt? it is highly likely that a turbo bolt will be broken. Then they have to remove that bolt by drilling it out and using an easy out. that all takes time. Also, half the time, the "bolt on" things don't bolt straight on. Mine didn't. we had to grind some pipe that was sticking out of the flange. Still, the pipe angle was wrong. I had to return the pipe and get another one. I did all this myself at home. Lets just not count the time to jack it and put it on stands, since the workshop has a hoist. It still took me a whole day including driving around buying things and swapping the pipe. I'm not a nooby either.

btw, ecv is not 200 firstly, it's 300$. you need the 81mm version if you have a 3" exhaust. Then you need an exhaust shop to cut off one of your flanges, then weld in the ecv. It's u to you whether you want to quieten it down. personally, i want it as loud as possible.

noise and restriction are proportionate. I don't care what anyone says about their quiet system that doesn't cause a restriction. Basically, it will be more restrictive if you make it quieter. The question is HOW MUCH that restriction affects your GIVEN POWER OUTPUT. Personally, I run a straight 3" pipe. Most possible power, minimum possible restriction. BTW, I have an ecv in my car. It's very restrictive. The car feels like it accelerates about half as fast. you can watch the revs climb if you stamp it, and it is really choking. Whereas, in first, if I normally floor it, the rev needle just smacks straight up to the red. Regarding the rear plug in silencer (buttplug), i find mine to be quite restrictive like the ecv. Regarding the centre muffler - refer to my first point regarding noise and restriction.

Why hasn't anyone mentioned offset of the wheels? Width isn't everything. 265 with the correct offset should not have any problems even with unrolled guards.

Paul, what makes you think the stock sidemount doesn't flow? It has a full duct around it. There's not much blocking it behind. How does your fmic flow? doy ou have a duct around it? Applying the air takes the easiest path, wouldn't air flow around your cooler? Also, it's blocked by the radiator and aircon radiator behind it. PS: those who said that installing a new cooler does not increase power are wrong. The stock cooler is simply a restriction to power. It is a bottleneck. it doens't flow enough. granted, cooling is also a problem. Both of these problems are improved when fitting an r34 cooler.

works with anything. just cut off and replace one of the flanges. I've said it before. not worth the trouble. Basially, it doesn't lower the noise much. Also, if you get epa'd, they'lll just open the valve, because it's a variable noise controller.

Doubt it will be very loud with a large centre muffler still there. This is what my car has. I drive on the street like this. 3" batmbl split dump. stainless cat. 3.5" catback. it has no centre muffler. mandrel bent. very few bends. only restrictive thing is a cannon. but it has a piece of pipe trhough it anyways. so imagine that the cannon is just for look. so imagine, basically, just 3.5" straight from the turbo. I don't find it loud. I reckon at 4800 rpm, it might just be about 100-105 db.

Catch can is an imitation greddy one. It is identical. Brand doesn't matter does it? A catch can is hardly complex. This is nice and stealth. black. -
Bigger Car Or Front Split/dump Pipe?

I say save up more money and do both at the same time. I just find jacking up the car somuch of a hassle. Then you have to undo the tight exhaust bolts. well, that's what I did anyways. Did it all at once and never looked back. Keep in mind, that the dump/front pipe might be a tiny bit longer or shorter or in the wrong place. so it might require fiddling and stuff. Mine required the cat to be modified. so do it together. -

rb20 gearboxes are cheap as chips. -
normal thread type. One of mine was stripped, so I just replaced it with a standard champion high tensile bolt. good as new.

The connectors are not filled with white shit. Mine are perfectly clean. if yours is, then i'd suggest you to clean it. How about just look at the bulba nd see if the filament is blown?

A-LSD light is a fault light. The Slip light is the one that comes on when you slip the wheels. The stock cluster on r33 has a slip light. Did you buy that cluster from the for sale section? It only ahs an A-lsd light.
