  1. For anyone else looking. I stumbled across an answer. Looks to be ok to block them completely.
  2. Thanks mate If i block them completely it will be fine though? More concerned it might be lacking coolant flow through the motor?
  3. Blocking rb25det block heater hose fittings Hi Guys In the process of rebuilding my 25. Since deleting the heater, i've always had the feed and return hoses looped, now the motor is out im looking to block the fittings completely. The left fitting is threaded in. The right fittings looks pressed in. Am I ok to block these off instead of them being looped? The car is track only and looking to tidy up under the plenum. Pic attached of fittings in question. Thanks for any help.
  4. I also had problems with their fuel rails, though the finish on it was fine. The supplied fittings leaked and the tabs for spacers bend quite easily.
  5. Check fuel pressure Has the pump been rewired or still stock relay setup? Change filter again e85 or 98?
  6. 1/4 inch lines but they were pretty thin wall and not proper heater hose. It's a 1 bar cap. It's a different cap that before. I'm using the fenix cap that came with the radiator. Last one was just an ASI.
  7. With a haltech you won't need the z32 afm as they use a map sensor. What fuel do you plan to use? A walbro 400lph and some id1000's or similiar will cover you on e85 with that turbo. I suggest looking at suspension also if your tracking it. Maybe a bigger sump and breather setup also.
  8. Sorry i realise that it's under some pressure. Just that the header tank hose bursting was an alarm bell to me.
  9. Hi all. Took the car out for the first time, rb25 s13. The coolant system seems to be pressurising? When it's upto temp the radiator hoses get pretty hard and it actually burst a hose from the radiator to header tank (cheap thin ebay hose may have been the issue). It didn't get past 92deg so not like it overheated. Radiator cap on header seems alright, radiator has a blanking cap on it and thermostat was tested working before i put it in. Bled up all good, no bubbles or residue in the tank. I'm fearfull of a headgasket but it was fine beforehand. Any other ideas? Or is it normal? Thanks for any help.
  10. Thanks both of you for your help though sick_r31 is right. Ended up snaring a shifter from a buddy.
  11. Hi The plastic ring circled in the picture is missing from my shifter and it keeps popping out of the gearbox. Does anyone know what it's called? Thanks for you help.
  12. Coming from experience i honestly wouldnt. It looks alot better yes but you can tell its lacking a bit down low from stock.
  13. Also interested in reasoning of -10 vs -12 I would have thought you may see a pressure drop?
  14. I had to change the coil pack to ecu wiring when i swapped a neo into my s1. That was with an s1 loom however.
  15. I bought my first 180sx from ebay. Did inspect it first though.
  16. Thanks for your help guys. Quick search turned up dakota digital that make a speedo decoder box. http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=126/prd126.htm
  17. Slight hi-jack if i may but on topic. How would one go wiring from the gearbox speed sensor to the ecu without using a cluster? Some sort of converter? I dont have a cluster at all in the car. Was planning in racepak dash and wouldnt mind speedo to show.
  18. It will hold it but only for so long of course. They dont just magically break at a certain power its all in how you drive. Your best bet it to contact sam from neat gearboxes. He was starting to do gearsets for the 6 speeds at a fair price. Theres also a good gearbox thread on the evo oz forums you might want to look at.
  19. Fuel pump would likely give issues under load not so much idle. Stock injectors? Maybe get them cleaned. Clean afm.
  20. Extended sump with baffles/trap doors. Good catch can setup, good radiator/cooling setup and stay off the limiter. Watch your oil pressure and oil/water temps with PROPER gauges. And be thankfull for every event you can drive it home.
  21. No complaints about my spool imports sump
