  1. A dedicated drag car can't be followed too closely when building a track car.Higher comp won't lift a head. Or cause any issues. Especially on e85. You are on your own with the low comp advice in this thread!
  2. Dude in adelaide has that. Ad on here somewhere and gumtree
  3. Hoe would that happen due to failed inector?
  4. Dude. Read what I wrote. I'm not trying to be the tough guy! You advanced the cas to get it to match the ecu didn't you?
  5. Just to add add to what I wrote. On the previous page op said he is using the oem knock sensors. To me that's a fail. And is unsure of the correct settings, and even mentioned he was registering knock when it wouldn't really be possible. He then advanced the timing 5 degrees and it fixed it. This is not a thread about how useful knock detection is. It is is a thread about how having things you don't understand can actually make things more difficult for you. Go get your car tuned op! And let us us know.
  6. Right. I don't think it's that simple. He advanced the timing by 5 degrees and it fixed the "knock" issue.
  7. I don't think we can compare a 25 to a 26 because of vct. If you activate vct at idle the 25 will also be heaps lumpy.
  8. Huh. That sounds like you had to advance the cas?
  9. The ecu gets the speed signal from the speedo. The tacho gets its signal from the ecu. Weird hey.
  10. It is very easy to check http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v688/Isijappanisi/timingrb26.jpg You will need to reset the ignition timing with a timing light once done.
  11. No one has doubted you man. I wasn't trying to stir shit, just telling you what has happened before.
  12. I'm talking from experience dude I was in a mates car when being chased by random guys who wanted to smash us, with bats and shit hanging out car. Mate hammered off as you did ended up at a servo with noone else and an off duty cop (no such thing) witnessed him driving fast and run a red light. Ended up losing his license as a result. Glad it worked out fine for you
  13. Your lucky the cops didn't stop you. They would have thrown the book at you regardless of the carjacking attempt. They aren't lenient in those situations.
  14. That's true. But type b are hardly high lift or large overlap.
  15. PM Scottynm35 and tell him what you want. He will give you the right advice and get what you need for the best price
  16. That's not cool! Did you get any footage of them?
  17. Exactly what I was thinking.
  18. Really it could be anything. It could be reversion in the maf causing a rich conditon. They are fussy when it comes to how the bov is plumbed back to the inlet. Mine carries on a bit sometimes due to this, but being an auto doesn't cause problems and doesnt happen often. I am going to change the angle the bov return is attached to the inlet pipe to make it point as much towards the turbo autos possible.
  19. Atmosphere venting is an obvious defect on the street so I would be plumbing it back. It shouldn't affect t the tune much unless you have heaps of blowby.
  20. Hmm. But the sensors output a frequency, 50 to 125 hertz if I remember correctly. The whole point of the zeitronix box is to convert that to a voltage. If you didn't need it why would people buy it?
  21. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/378661-valve-overlap-rb26-tomei-260-pon-cam/
  22. Of course. I just wondered because you were specific with the 3000rpms I thought perhaps you had experienced or heard about something .
  23. Is that based on something? If the ecu Is tuned correctly there won't be any weird lean spots.
  24. Nistune. Flex fuel had been released for 32 gtr ecu.
