  1. Except there is nothing beyond the claim that the GT2835 spools that fast, dyno plot makes it look like almost 500rpm laggier than the numbers referred to here
  2. Thats fricken awesome if thats true, the cynic in me would like some evidence of that kind of spool - though
  3. Haha, but yeah I am still interested to see too - there have been claims for spool like that floating for GT2835s etc which take a bit of credit from GT3076Rs being a good unit for in the high 200/low 300kw area I'm yet to see a GT2835 or GT3071R hit over 1.1bar before 3500rpm.
  4. Very nice, and keen to see results I see someone in the states has done ~270wkw with one on an SR20 already, though the spool sounds like its more comparable with a GT2871R - at least on the dyno.
  5. These things make even more with aftermarket cams, a lad I know has made >400kw @ hubs on slightly less boost with an RB25/30 with a .82a/r GT3582R on 98
  6. Congrats guys on the new world record at winternats - 7.56 @ 184mph, fingers crossed it can be whittled down a bit further
  7. Doubting what existed?
  8. Got a boost plot for that?? If its full boost at 3200rpm, I'm curious to see why the torque curve climb like its spooling until 3600-3700ish rpm?!
  9. Far out Mr Ash, hell I try and be specific about "@ hubs" but still occasionally let "@ wheels" slip, its easy to do given the difference in many cases is negligable and its basically more to quantify that it wasn't on an engine dyno. If you want to get pedantic you may as well make a forum rule that every time someone says a dyno result they say: Ambient Temp: Ambient Pressure: Tyre Pressure: Tyre Size: Tyre Profile: Tyre Temperature: Tyre Type: Gearbox type: Dyno Type: Dyno Correction method: Air Intake Temperature location: Ramp rate: Tie down method: But thats just taking silly and running with it
  10. I don't know for sure, but I'd be pretty suss of pushing a little GT2871R to around 20psi on a 2.5litre - I'd have thought that would be well and truly maxing the turbo out and doing some nasty things to exhaust pressure/temps?
  11. Well listen to your tuner imho, a Link (or vipec, much of a muchness) in terms of ecu. Until you do that I basically wouldn't drive it
  12. What ECU and injectors will you be running? So long as the fuel system and tune are up to it - 15psi should be no sweat on an RB25.
  13. The PT6765 is quite a bit laggier than a GT35R, they're more comparable with a T04Z. Even the smaller Precision PT6262 is laggier than a GT35R, though would also be a bit of an upgrade. The GT3794R seem like an awesome piece of work though is again laggier than GT3582R, would be my pick of the bunch though
  14. I am sure its going to be good regardless, look forward to hearing the results. In regards to ridiculously punchy turbos that make a bit of power still, will be tuning an S14/SR20 running a PE1420 on E85 soon... that should be a bit different too.
  15. Whats your setup - do you have an AFM? What kind of voltage is the ECU reading? Does the car do it consistantly since you first spotted this issue, or was it a once off? And to clarify, do you mean specifically coasting down - or if it is actually sitting there at idle, will it stay at 18-20afr consistantly?
  16. Hahahaha I got it and checked it years ago, out of interest I am pretty sure it had "GT3037" on the tag (and things like "GT30RR" and "Made in Japan" on the box) - but 56T.
  17. To be fair, mine is capable of going faster more reliably if I were keen to thrash it that hard but drags haven't been a high enough priority to go as hard on it as he did with his. But thats the catch, the price is low enough that breaking something isn't as deterring to him as it is to me, and its quite a fun car.
  18. To be fair making 270kw (GT3071/GT2835s can make that power) with full boost at 3800rpm is no way near being a compelling arguement in the direction of it being a better thing than the 56T.... its spooling about the same as a 56T but has less flow potential.
  19. One of my mates has apair on her JZA80 - very laggy...
  20. Yeah it would be interesting to see the dyno sheet (with boost plot).
  21. Nice - that should be pretty awesome! 6258 though? I'd have been pretty tempted to get a 6758 after spending that much, HKS GTRS are amazing on SR20s and the 6758 is still smaller so isn't exactly going to be laggy. PS: I saw your avatar etc previously and thought nothing of it as I frequent the HevyDevy forum and you get used to that, but this is SAU - AWESOME I have Deconstruction and Ghost preordered haha
  22. DO IT! And let us know if you are coming
