  1. Buy a non turbo, and don't ruin a legend...
  2. Machine off old collar and put a new collar onto it. If the keyway is stuffed, get a new keyway machined 180deg to the old keyway. Sorted.
  3. mmmmmmm drool , I so miss my 32...sob
  4. Spotted Terry's previous bayside blue 34GTR on Windsor rd heading towards the brewery. Looking very clean and sounding tough!
  5. It does smooth out the airflow of the 2 turbo outlets though.... that's why nismo have a piping kit that does the same thing. Okay drag day 2011, lined up Sloane 7 times and beat him every time....I had, stock 26, -9's running 290-300AWKW full tank 1600 odd kgs, he had 32GTR 347AWKW, cams, turbos similar to 2530's but a bit laggier, nismo copper twin, and weighed 116KG less than my 34. I beat him because the -9's came on earlier when launching off the line and came onto boost faster after changing gears. Even with his lighter, more powerfull car he got beat. The video shows that area under the curve. Peak power is easy.... I smiled when he said he couldn't believe I kept beating him and said the numbers just don't add up. I explained and he understood. Now he's going -5's for that higher HP goal, I'm building his new engine, still a stock stroke RB26DETT, so I guess he might be better off now with the -5's but it still won't be as responsive....each to their own I guess. I'll aim for 330WKW at 20-22PSI once new twin plate and tune done and see where we stand.
  6. Sums it up haha!!!
  7. So, went to a workshop to borrow their hoist to do a clutch change.... End of the day car is still in the air... First the new spigot bearing that was just fitted failed, spat out all it's needle rollers, so I had to pull that crap out then fit a bronze bush which I usually stick to. The nismo twin I bought was actually from an R33GTR and won't work with a 34 due to different height, which I knew. It was sold to me as a 34GTR clutch/flywheel and had 34GTR paint markered on it. Place is well known for jap spares and engines, and are usually on the ball. So after a lot of cursing, I borrowed the courtesy car and went home to check my spare nismo gmax twin I got from flee bay. Wow it was a 34GTR clutch, and this one I can actually use as it is the right height. So I will finish my install tomorrow....
  8. 450sx lol we did one already. it's a beast!!! No lag!! Fully engineered.
  9. Should be a beast Josh. Hope you find plenty of usefull info on the forums
  10. goodrich on the 32R, good quality ;D
  11. We found out it wasn't the blades that were squeeking on my mates 180sx, it was the passenger Seriously though, we had the same problem. He changed blades, rainex etc. Ended up being the bushes that the wiper arm pivot on. He doused the bearings and links in WD40 and the noise went away.
  12. My car clears the ferry, just angle it, mine is 130mm ground clearance at the front.... Percival Street is the name of the road to the carpark
  13. Items found, thanks!!
  14. Sounds good to me. Meet you at the carpark opposite the RAAF base front gate at 850am?
  15. Um.... have you driven your car with a strut brace, then driven it without? Definately a difference in the way the car handles the road irregularities!! Especially if it's an older vehicle. the towers do flex even if it's a double wishbone setup, it is still applying forces to the top and sides of the towers. I had the following in my 32gtr: Front and rear strut braces. Triangle braces that I fitted. they go behind the front guards. These cars do well with extra bracing as the 33-34gtr had extra bolt on braces etc standard and feel so much more rigid and 'planted'....
  16. Um...I live in Richmond lol! but I'm cruising over to Hornsby, because I like driving!
  17. Project mu's Love em, just pick NS or Bspecs if you get a little more serious on drives.
  18. Thanks! Will be good to see your new car soon!! Hmmm yeah, if I tracked it they would stay...
  19. ^ This!! I hand wash, chamois then every so often polishing with autoglym to get rid of tar stains, exhaust stain etc. No worries Tim. Your car loves the camera!! Hmm photo shoot!
  20. Thanks Brad! Yours will be a monster!! Still have not done clutch...had to keep it on the road due to things popping up and arriving short notice . Was worth it though! The clutch is a Nismo gmax twin plate (Brett) , that I got second hand, cleaned, inspected and rebuilt with new clutch discs. I'm currently half way through getting brembo bits to take the brakes back to something more streetable... New scuff plates..
  21. Block is currently getting grout filled to help with rigidity, and journal oil feeds drilled out. Aim is Late Feb early March to finish car!
  22. No worries guys! It was a good meetup! i need to crop some of the pics as Pat mentioned there is too much road in a couple...he is right lol.
