  1. Air con, check. engine that is running, check wash car thursday. put in more leave, check.
  2. Well, the numbers don't lie, and it's not working properly. Their fault. I'd crack it hardcore if it was on a GTR, and had to pull it out again, damn heavy stuff!
  3. Getrags seem to hold less, as they throw more oil around and are noisy (ATF based oil is so light). I get about the same amount in there.
  4. Damn! so setup is too short, and barely touching the pressure plate. Silly buggers.
  5. Yay!!!...but car is dirty....
  6. Yes, there is a restrictor, similar to the stocker. It sits in the upper pipe on the tank, and is an inch from the end of the pipe (sits in top part of hose). You can see they went with the different height hose entry/exits to help to seperate the oil/mist from the air, like you said, by putting the return line right at the top with the restrictor in there, then that goes back into the rear intake. Yep, I love the nismo stuff (to the detriment of my wallet), as it's straight forward and has pictures if you can't read japanese, like me! I have bigger front pipes on mine but I could still just get in ther with only one hand and the uni drives (half asian small hands lol). Keep up the good work!
  7. Patience grasshopper! Here's some pics of the oil/air separator tank fitted. It took 2 hours to fit, top hoses were easy, then jack the front up to get to the rear turbo oil drain fitting and replace it with the new 3 way fitting. Only had to remove the bottom chassis brace to get in there, and use some uni drives to get to the bolts etc.
  8. Block is getting the full treatment then grubscrewed. Got to remember to tell the engine guy to drill out the oil returns in the block too. Original engine was pretty clean. Crank, was pretty good, but we shall see.
  9. Love your work! I put the nismo oil seperator kit into my car today. Got rid of my catch can and ugly hoses. No turbo, or intake or exhaust piping removal. Top stuff is easy. The bottom oil drain fitting I did in 2 hours. Jack up front of car, remove LHS chassis brace bolts, back off RHS ones, undo oil drain hose clamp, undo 2 12mm bolts on fitting, pull fitting off, put in new fitting, connecting up the 2 hoses now, then bolt in etc, check for leaks, drive off! 1/4 drive and 3/8 drives are your friend and uni drives!!! The restrictor/bubble popper is also there to limit the amount of air drawn into the rear turbo intake pipe. As there is a decent vacuum there under boost conditions due to air filter, AFM etc. That was part of my excess oil in plumbing problem when I removed that section of piping with the restrictor, to put in the catch can setup.
  10. You know it Bob thanks again. Thanks RBish, the nismo mafs I chose because, I have played with map sensor based stuff on the 32 I used to have. Takes longer to get right and altitude stuff it around too. I got them for $700 or so new but they usually go for around $900. Good to have fresh bolt in stuff.
  11. Hi Mike, Contact Unique Autosports. They are the one's that get them made up. http://www.300zx.com.au/

  14. Thanks Dan, I've wanted one for ages!!, but needed to save up first!
  15. Got some new bits to fit, nismo stuff!!! So I fitted the Nismo MFD upgrade boards and new map sensor. Did the calibration and it all works. G sensor, lap timer, oil pressure, 2 bar boost gauge and more scale on the other readings. Also got the oil air seperator tank kit, and I'll probably fit that soon.
  16. Won't see the block for a couple of weeks, but thanks for the offer!! Got the HKS front pipes today as well as, CP pistons kit valve guides Ross toughbond balancer The block, crank, studs, balancer, clutch and flywheel are now at the engine reconditioners to get cleaned, balanced etc. Now is it worth it getting the block grout filled to the bottom of the lower water jacket welsh plugs....
  17. Got another walk through on the car by Bob the other day. All I can say is WOW!! Just needs that engine in there!!
  18. That's why he will use it as part of an air induction intake only, soon! I gave him a few ideas.
