You mean that the crank would 'pick up' the oil, and loose hp?
Once you install an oil cooler, first time you fill up with oil it would take more than 5 litres.
Then if you do an oil change there is still oil trapped in the oil cooler and lines so you would add as much as you usually would to suit, as if there was no cooler.(unless you drain the oil cooler as well...)
Cheers. Ended up selling it to one of the guys on here because over time it would end up getting damaged on my daily...
Pretty sure it's a garage saurus lip.
Cheers guys, we'll see how we/I go....
Dirt... the engine was out of an infinity G50 Q45 and is a 1994 or so model as far as we know.
Engine has VVT so it's before 1995.
Yep, keep the money rolling in to gets bits and pieces and I'll keep going lol.
Plenty of research done before we got the engine.....youtube, american sites etc.
Also liasing with engineer on rules and regs to keep it fully legal.
Needs extractors bad!
Next things to do will be:
Remove auto bush from crank and fit a spigot bearing.
Fit up a flywheel and clutch and measure up bellhousing.
Chop/Change bellhousing flange to suit v8 bolt hole pattern.
temp fit eng and gearbox to make engine mount brackets/clearancing.
Here's the vid on youtube:

I need to get a camera mount and more 2 gig cards lol.
A gun conversion is the VQ30DET into said skyline.
They go hard, all alloy, torque, modern stuff vvt etc.
Conversions have been done for a while now.
I am currently doing a conversion on a mates 180sx, VH45DE with a 300zx 5 speed.
I was at the bridge and waved the yellow after you past by slowly!
You could hear the knocking quite clearly, I just thought damn, that ain't cool!
Red beemer= cool sounding car
Fear GTR= Couldn't get him, too quick on the straights!
MX5= bonzai!
Great day out guys. Got to see some new faces and the usual bunch Thanks to the organisers of the event, and those who helped out with flag marshalling.
Got a timed lap of 1:27 lol on street tyres. (Those people with semi's, lucky them!!!)
Post up them pics!
Nope, to atmosphere is ok...
I actually run a/m cam baffles, oil/air separator and a catch can, and it's plumbed into intake.
It really does stop blowby a fair bit. High revs + high boost = lotsa blowby ish..... lol.
You could also use an R32 GTR speedo drive and pop it into the r33 box, just do the last couple of steps.
I'm sure that it should work?.....maybe or it would be completely different due to the drive being in the transfer case instead of the extension housing.
