Our New Dr30. Our Old Prince Skyline Gt
Sinista32 replied to clubracer's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
The pros use piano wire with 2 wooden handles. 1 Handle is removable. The wire is threaded through the silastic sealant and then attached to the handle. Again 2 people required. Used like a saw (back n forth) all the way round keeping it off the body. Then a pair of those suction cap lifters. Perhaps ask someone like O'briens or a local mobile guy for a cost. or use a knife carefully -
Rb26 Compression With Poncams Type-B
Sinista32 replied to andre_gtr's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I wouldn't call fooked just yet. The boys on here are pretty good. It maybe a case of pulling it out if your in doubt of any of the work. You rebuilt with all stock internals. Were the rings put on factory spec / positioning and double checked ? -
Rb26 Compression With Poncams Type-B
Sinista32 replied to andre_gtr's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
did you drop the oil and see excess of fuel in oil ? (fuel running down the side of the cylinders) A loose build i.e. large clearances. or even rings. Who did the build and how was it fired up / run in 100psi is far to low for a fresh rebuild. Edit: Not to cause concern, more to make you even more wary and check it out thoroughly. I run Type B's not that that has much to do with it. After my first build it was around 85 because the builder had made a mistake which caused a catastrophic failure. one of the symptoms before the failure was fuel in the oil. 2nd build by CRD and is around 170 across the lot. Have you tried 2 different gauges when measuring -

Re cylinder 6 - true. Although tuned around. Stock plenum is awesome and you will have no issues so keep it. Don't waste your money on these for the RB26 In my opinion the best is the Nismo Plenum - max 2-4% improvement - EDITED: 1-2% power and 0.4% fuel saving - SUBJECTIVE. Yes I have one At $1500-$2000 money is spent better elsewhere. Topic covered heaps already

Yes - had a black 32 GTS-t. Black is my favourite colour on Skylines. As you would expect a bugger to maintain looking clean and mirror polish look. Everything leaves a mark that draws the eye. As mentioned unless cleaned/polished well you will see swirl marks up close. You will go for a drive get home and clean it. Before you go out again you will need to wipe it down with an anti static brush to get the dust off. Also depends how fussy you are as you will see what others wont. I have heard of ceramic coating polish that helps black cars immensely

Chiming in Good work and all good advice by the lads Nice figures - did you go -9's ? -
Off Topic On your diagram you will also find "14920" plastic pipes will break off. (valve control). That one doesn't matter much either it runs one pipe to the charcoal canister to re-use the fumes. Again they're NLA and a replacement part off a Navara is used. The plastic pipes are larger and the bolt holding it is larger so some modification required. Go second hand on parts form a Jap wreckers. Any RB25 NEO motor will have these. Cheap quick option A few pages now. Perhaps take your car in and get a mech to identify your real issue/s. Edit Oh and if it's running like shit, not boosting etc.. Try looking at all your IC piping for a split or even one blown off

Not a good look IMHO If your on the street keep it sleek and minimalist although if your doing time attack spend money for functional

91 R32 Gtr // Doors And Rear Window Rubbers Any Helpers ?
Sinista32 replied to dasher's topic in North Island
If your looking for new RHDjapan sell these. Use pinpoint search on their site. It is very Difficult to get good second hand external weather strip surrounds for the doors. You could remove (piss easy, screws on inside under weather strip) and repair by taking back to metal and repaint with Plastidip or similar paint. For the rear window a car glass replacement company could remove/replace with an aftermarket bead. Do recommend. Make certain you have no rust happening and if you do take action ! I do happen to have spare new beads for the rear window if you want to stay OEM. Not easy to install. It's not a DIY job and will need to be held in place by the sillastic the pro's use. Edit. Just noticed your door glass marks. Maybe just from washing and water marks. But to clean. Remove the outer weather strip sills on both doors and clean the little buffer pads to stop your glass from scratching up. (those 2 lines on the door glass) These collect dust and little stones etc... Single screw inside the door, lift gently. When out wash and ruff them up a little with a toothbrush and then put back on. The glass can be polished with metal cream, polish, toothpaste or other non abbrassives. It will reduce any visible scratches. -
So $30k drive away after on road costs. Unfortunately cant see the auction papers clearly for grade and markings etc even after capturing and increasing view using paint.net. A 4b or 4.5 would be exciting. A phone call is required but as Bob said (and it's probably keeping you awake at night) your post above has me thinking finances. JOC would be handy about now but you would expect legit as papers etc posted in advertisement. Looking forward for some one to report back after casting a careful eye over this one. A flight to Melb may be in order for Tuesday Bob?. Edit. Top right hand box has a 3.5 in it.

It is a steal at this price. Fixing the issues listed still make it well undervalue I haven't seen it in the flesh for a while but has some good quality upgrades I'm willing to give it a detail at no charge if that helps the sale.
