  1. Yes Tom, it's about time you did one There is one on this weekend, but all spots are taken, but come along and cheer us on it you'd like
  2. We'll accept either option, aslong as it's a supervised event. AHG is much cheaper, and in general will be the event that most people would be likely to enter, but if you wanted to do a No Limits event at Wanners, or compete in any other form of club level motorsport, that would be even better
  3. The current plan would be to have organised SAUWA driver training as we currently do, but equally you can attend a session off your own bat, both would be equally valid.
  4. Are you saying he likes 8 year olds ? Bart, Thanks for the sign, we would want to miss the opportunity for the last minute pit stop
  5. I agree that getting into motorsport requires more than a little bit of effort, it like any good sport requires a genuine interest, and you need to be prepared to spend a few $$$ to get in there an do it. Obviously there are a number of different level which you can compete in, and so it can be as simple as bring long sleeves and a helmet, all the way through to category racing. I still think it would be a good idea to have the sticky thread which contains facilities, events, and requirements to enter, so we make it as easy as possible for people to get involved in motorsport, but at the end of the day it does boil down to individuals making a choice. In the upcoming SAUWA General Meeting, we'll be proposing that for members to continue annual membership, that they'll be required to complete a driver training course (or compete in a motorsport event). We hope that this will in some way improve the overall standard of driver skills, and open up more opportunities for people to get into motorsport.
  6. Nope. The cost to personalise each one is too much, and most people aren't that keen on having usernames etc on there clothing. However, I'm sure you could take it to someone who would add that on for you if you really want it.
  7. SAUWA will be selling Hoodies soon, but only to members.
  8. Save yourself the $1500 in freight etc and buy one in WA ?
  9. Well that would be a waste, cause you're gay right ?
  10. I agree that it's not just HPV owners that contribute to the dangers on the road, but we can actively encourage HPV owners to get into motorsport etc, then I feel we're doing our part to help make things better. I'd hope no one here would be silly enough to drink and drive. BTW, great news to hear that both driver and passenger are doing ok
  11. Bubba, Whilst I totally agree that our best wishes are with the victims and there families, I do see this as a good reminder to everyone the consequneces of driving fast cars (whether they were speeding or not), and trying to encourage more people to particitpate in safe driving, and learning how to better handle there cars. I'm sure the families of those involved would want others to reflect on what has happened.
  12. The simple fact is this country doesn't, and I can't see it is likely too either. So having dealt with that fact, let's move on, and get down to what the real options are: 1. Go to a legal motorsport venue or 2. Risk you life and others on the road. I'll vote for 1 thanks
  13. First let me say that I wish the people involved in this accident a speedy recovery. At fault or not, I'm sure we all wish them well. Secondly, whilst this is a very sad event, let's all use it as a reminder that our behaviour on the roads can have a severe impact on our lives, and the lives of others. Let's use this reminder to take a postive step in reducing such events in the future by a) attending a driver training course b) getting involved in motorsport (AHG, Motorplex, Wanneroo etc). SAUWA actively encourage all it's members to participate in driver training and/or motorsport, and hopefully we're making a small difference in making some of you better drivers. If you wish to get involved in either driver training, or some form of motorsport then feel free to contact me, and I'll point you in the right direction. And hopefully together we can help reduce these sort of accidents. Cheers Paul SAUWA President
  14. All I want to know is, where do I sign up to be a business to run one of these testing centers ? Sounds like a license to print money
  15. ^^^^ That guy above Don't be any women folk down, as whilst we're racing, he'll be busting some moves
  16. You mean the Brockbank Mowing Team will be there to cut my grass
  17. Simple, don't go through the pits to do your mods, just do them, then hope you don't get yellow stickered The one of more impact is Which is a way to stop grey imports under the 15year rules etc. With only one place in WA that can do it, the queue will be a couple miles long
  18. Whilst I love feeling up roookies, I'll stick to my co-driver thanks
  19. So you and Bubba will be smokin each others pipes before the race ?
  20. Yep, played it and finsihed it, really good fun. Alot of people say it's too repetitive, but I found it heaps of fun
  21. I won't listen to someone from Bunno about what's wrong or right. I like my sister, but I don't love her
  22. No one told me that you were the trophy
  23. Team "From Behind" will bend each one of you pricks over our Kart, and we'll shove our winners trophy up your ass
  24. Hi mate, I'm originally from the UK, and have now lived most of my life in Western Australia, and I must admit there aren't too many places I'd rather live. Whilst we're no-where near as big and exciting as our Eastern States, I reckon we have one of the best lifestyles here. Job prospects in WA are good, but obviously with the GFC things are a bit harder to get a good job. If you're here later in the year then I'm sure some of the Skyline crew will happily show you a few things. Cheers Paul
  25. You won't be doing much damage, but don't drive it too hard. Tenegah will have your standard flywheel faced, so it should be as good as new
