  1. i reckon the tunnel will be cleared overnight and possibily open tomorrow morning. speaking as an emerg worker with smashes. they usually get cleared and the roads opened asap. itll be good to finally meet ya if u did show up. ill be there from 12 onwards with my awesomely bright yellow work shirt!
  2. looks like im working in the morning til 12. work is around 2kms from rays so ill be there just after 12. see you all there!
  3. lol yea jims a funny guy. i mean 4000 pound clamp. parts are on the way way from japan. my mechanic is gonna get the rest thats needed. alls i need to do is get as much overtime as i can to pay for all of it...

  6. i second this. is there anywhere in aust we can get them or do we need to get them from america?
  7. i thought this might be true. i was guessing they could have beenthe same as the key shapes kinda look the same but ive only seen them on the comp. i was thinking of removing the barrels from the doors and boot so u need to button to get in but then what if it fails.... this could be tricky to pull off if i did it. i guess ill just stick with the stock key shape... thanks guys
  8. the price for the bearings is what i woulda guessed. the hopper at work had the bearings done just after new years while the factory was still on holidays and they cost just over 1k for 2 sets of 2. big bastards though... jim has a 4000ps full monty sitting there waiting for me. i just gotta get my clutch and flywheel up to him. cant wait to get my car goin and my license back...
  9. my clutch and flywheel will be going to jim very soon. speak with him and u will get all of the infomation u need. he is gonna lighten the flywheel when he does my clutch up. he wants the clutch flywheel and all the crap with them. grease and all. totally agree with other ppl though, when u call, allow a good hour or more!
  10. sounds good. im picking up those parts of mine from nengun. the mechanic still doesnt believe the prices im paying. the turbos are only $2800! ill be getting the clutch flywheel and all of the grease sent up to jim berry as well. i somehow think they wont last long after the motor is rebuilt. i cant remember where we get bearings down here but cos most of the machines at work are custom built, we can usually just specify the dimentions we need. if not then they have always been able to match them up after we have taken the worn sets in. the wheels bearings dont have id numbers hidden under any bearing grease do they?? they have proven to be the best way to get exactly what we need.
  11. the rebuild on my motor starts today! got gt-ss turbos, large oil pump, sump baffle, powerfc complete gasket kit etc. im kinda anxious to get my car back but i want the mechanic to take his time and get it right 1st go. hows things cruising along with the front end? still working on it?
  12. why? meh. something different. my 32gtr key is about to snap and standard cut keys from the shop look crap. i can get 32gtr keys for the same price as 34gtr keys and i reckon they 34s look better. id be happy if the key button could be programed into an aftermarket alarm. keyless entry and alarm immobiliser on off button build onto the key would be better then this crappy alarm button i have now.
  13. hey everyone. im just curious, is it possible to get the R34GTR key with the immobiliser chip and button on the key to work in an R32GTR? if its possible, would the ignition barrel and the door lock barrels need to be changed? ie: different key shape? ideas? thoughts? Cheers, Ron
  14. i saw ur head there yesterday while i was playing with my car. it looks shiny as. hopefully they'll start my head gasket when urs is finished and we'll both sweet as cars
  15. ill be there and so will my car! dunno if ray will have it ready for the dyno though...
  16. theres no hard feelings between my mate and i. we still go to the pub get pissed and bag the shit outta each other. this just gives him some more ammo to hang shit on me...
  17. i got my license suspended for 40kms over. a local that im mates with got done for 60+ over and got a slap on the wrist and a "dont do it again mate! see ya at work tomorrow" wheres the fairness in that?
  18. i removed my hicas completely. including the solinoid in the engline bay. the power steering line that went to the solinoid got plumbed directly to the power steering cooler. this made it so i didnt need to replace the power steering pump. i still needed to physically remove the hicas light out of the dash as it stayed constantly on. the light indicates that there is an error with the hicas. there is no hicas anymore! thus no need for the light to tell you theres an error with it.
  19. bump
  20. its a work of art! so ur gonna keep the hicas deren?

  23. are you gonna be doing anything special to the internals for your motor deren? im having a little trouble deciding on just forged pistons or stroking it to 2.8L with either the HKS or Tomei kit...
  24. lol! i paid a visit to my mechanic today for a good list of parts etc for my rebuild. we had a good chat for a while. looks like im gonna be up for a little more then id hoped. i shoulda guessed that cos its a gtr.... theres a couple of other things im gonna do while the motor is out. like a sump baffle. get my clutch sent to jim berry etc. im so gonna hafta drive careful after this is all done until i get my suspension and brakes done.
