wheel alignment is different to a wheel balance. worth geting both done. alignment will set u back around 30 and i cant remember how much a balance is...

this tectaloy flush stuff is the shishnaz! gimmie a few more days of flushing and ill be a happy man. just wish i didnt feel so guilty cos of the water restrictions....

is that the small hose that runs around the front of the cam cover? the 1 im thinking of plumbs back into where the top radiator hose goes. do i need to remove the theromstat so i can flush it fast as without the motor running?

the mirror, get a chunk of rubber and wedge it between the glass and the mirrors arm. worked for me and cost nothing. the steering wheel i also have the same issues. try a wheel alignment and balance. get the steerin system checked over. things like rubbers etc on the steering arms and that

thanks for the replies everyone. so far ive used a full bottle of tectaloy radiator flush and ive done it several times with water. its changed from the caramel colour u were talking about 2GU UP to a lovely black... it does seam to have less in there but im no where near happy. sorry Deren i dont know which heater hose u are talking about. so far ive been taking the bottom radiator hose off and flooding the radiator with water. filling it up again and letting it idle for a few minutes and then repeating. when i did the flush chemical i was taking it for a 'fun' drive up the hill and back then flushing it out. i have another bottle of the stuff and im about to have another go today. wish me luck!

could be nurerous things. faulty electrics somewhere or maybe the abs unit has something wrong with it. would be worth taking to a brakes place that knows skylines. or a good mechanic

guys this is most likely your speedo cable. you can pick them up from import wreckers etc but id suggest to get a genuine new 1 from nissan. mate of mine has been through several from wreckers and always has the same problem with it. fork out the extra dough and buy a new cable. it runs from the back of your speedo cluster to the side of the gearbox.

man thats gotta hurt.. who woulda expect that to happen? good that ur all good though. ill show this to my mates and then maybe they will stop telling me that im wasting my money buying expensive rims like volks or somethin. cant wait to get my car on the track!

hey guys and girls! a while ago i had a problem with sump oil getting into my cooling system. i had a post on here about it. the problem turned out to be the factory heat transfer unit that the oil filter bolts onto. now that its fixed, i need to get the oil out of my cooling system... if anybody has tried this before u know how much fun im having! ive been to the radiator place today and the suggested i could put a good 3 litres of kerosene in my cooling system with the water. it will eat the oil thats in there but it wont damage anything. what do people think about this idea?? i dunno if i like the idea of adding another foreign substance to my cooling system. what have u guys done to flush out the cooling system properly? the radiator is easy enough but what about the block? cheers everyone, Ron

sounds to me like the battery is dead. how old is it? try to find a letter and a number thats been burnt/melted into the top of it. example. L6 would be november 2006. letters are for the month except they dont use I cos it looks too much like a 1 A=jan B=Feb...H=Aug J=Jul etc

ive got a rattle in the back of my 32gtr. been looking for the source of it for months now and still cant locate it

yea my car sits for long periods of time which is why i want a deep cycle. and cos they r heavy suckas is 1 reason i want it in the boot. good for weight distrubution. i cant remember how much cca i get out of 33amp... anybody?

well its time for a new battery for the GTR. what i would like to know from everyone is, whats the minimum battery strength thats needed for the rb26dett? im trying to get the battery into the boot under the rear bar, hard up againt the back seats. (more room under the bonnet for other stuff! ) there is a 170mm clearance gap there so it looks like the largest battery i can get to fit is 33amp gel deep cycle. theres enough room for 3 of these batteries which would give me a total of 99amp. would this be overkill? i dont wanna spend the extra money on wiring for a 2nd or 3rd battery if 1 or 2 will do the job. then theres also the voltage booster that was recommended... what are peoples thoughts on this 1??

yea thats the cat warning light. new cats arnt cheap. u could take the 'other' option and remove this inside of it

is there water in the oil or just oil in the water? i have had oil in my coolant only prob before. have u got a workshop manual for the car? look up the pics of the oil setup between the oil filter and the block. there is a sandwich plate round factory oil cooler/transfer unit. theres a coil running through it that passes the oil from the block to the filter. coolant runs around the coil. the coil in mine had corroded though. cos there was more pressure in the oil then coolant, i only had oil pushing into the coolant... its a bitch to get to but its possible to change without takin off the plenium. a lot cheaper then lookin at head gaskets.

way too easy to wind back or replace speedo odometer etc. never trust the k's on any of 'em. mechanical inspection is a must. see what kida wear n tear is on the car. body damage rust. worn seats gear shift knob if manual. stuff like that.

i got my car from shayne at power rd. feel free to pm me if u wanna know anthing about the place. if ur keen on that car, get it looked at. shayne will be more then happy to let u get it tested. if u have a specific mechanic u wish to take the car to, id suggest u take it there as he wont drive it far. for that price, id say u could do better. yet thats what everyone told me about my car. wouldnt it be worth it to spend a couple extra dollar for a 32gtr? much more fun!
