if u ever find anything off yahoo japan that says 'will not post internationally' then u can still buy it. goto www.slidewizeimports.com and get them to bid for you. if u win the auction, the seller will post to slidewize in japan and then they forward it to ya. they take commision as well so make sure what ur buyin works out cheaper including their commision then buying it here in aust. hope that helps

couldnt agree more. ive had my whole block heater core flushed 3 times so far and im still gettin chunks... radiator is awesome though cos i had it rodded out at a radiator joint. it needed the top tank replaced too... guys, check ur hoses as well. just so u know, theres 2 small coolant hoses that run around the back of the motor block between the firewall and the motor. an absolute prick to fix! i needed to have my gearbox removed to get to them. at least now i have some good pics of my clutch assembely. maybe for a preventative measure, get all new hoses. just a suggestion

thanks for the ideas guys. itll be at the mechanics monday gettin the hicas competely gutted and a few leaking hoses replaced. ill check along the driveshaft then. its good havin a mechanic that lets u do anything u wanna and not kick u outta the workshop. that loose coax cable for the aerial, is that in a 32? i dont have an external aerial in my car. its build into the front window. ive had all of the left hand side panels out and the boot gutted. taken the rear seats out and the metal panel that divides the boot from the cabin. parcel shelf etc. sounds to be too high for it to be around the driveshaft but ill look anyways. i hope i find the sucka soon as im goins bananas! oh and just so u all know. if u get a really loud annoying squeak coming from ur dashboard, check ur speedo cluster. theres a competition in my car for the most annoying noise to bug me. the squeak has been found and a new speedo gets here in a couple of weeks thanks to slidewize and yahoo japan. just gotta source that damn rattle!

after having this rattling noise in my rear end for over a month, numerous hunts to find it, on and off the hoist. panels off, seats removed etc etc blah blah. i think ive narrowed it down the the rubber stoppers on the boot lid being too old and brittle. the boot lid looks to be sitting too low and i have wear marks on the tail light assembley from the lid hitting. also on the rear quarter panels from the spoiler hitting. ill replace the rubber stoppers after pay day this week. hopefully this fixes my problems. things most always work out to be the simplist of things...

if it is your cat, i replaced mine with a hi-flow 3" stainless S15 cat for $500

ive had all of my trims out and then driven te car. i can still hear it. the noise it too far rearward to be the cat plus its brand new. i dont get the noise when idling. the sound would be kinda like metal vibrating on metal. im thinking it could be the hinges or latch mechanism on my boot lid. things always to turn out being the most simpilist things. yet i cant find it! thanks for ur help guys. anyone else got any suggestions?

sorry for the boring as post guys. im just curious to hear a few comments stories etc. i have a LOUD AS rattle in my rear passenger side quarter. the sound is mainly when i am under heavy acceleration or hitting bumps, rough road surfaces, potholes etc. sometines at certain rev ranges. also when i turn the car off. thought it could be the exhaust rattling on something. thats been cleared. ive had the rear seats out once already looking for it. ive now comptely emptied my boot apart from the essentials (spare jack etc) checked so far: exhaust bearings lhrear hub removed all boot contents apart from essentials. (they are fixed tightly and arnt moving) i cant think of anything else apart from gutting the whole left hand interior and going up the hills for a spirited drive. has anybody had anything as annoying as this? any suggestions as to what it could be would be awesome. thanks in advance for helping me on my quest for a rattle/squeak free car!

im curious to this as well. been thinking about a sunroof for my car.

ive got a set of iridiums in my 32gtr gaped at 0.7mm. its never been fully explained what the smaller gap does but from what i can guess (correct me if im wrong ppls) smaller gap = fatter spark. better combustion?

alls i can think of is the boost controller isnt up to scratch. doesnt sound right. i havnt heard much about the jaycar controllers. a mate of mine had a boost spikeing prob which turned out to be the controller was too far away from the turbos. if u had a leaking hose, 1. ur pressure would be lower. 2. u would hear the hose sucking air. sorry if this isnt much help...

hey guys got me a slight prob. ive got plenty of oil. done just under 3000kms since last change. ive NEVER seen the oil light come on. runs on around 4 to 6kg oil press when cold but then drops to 0 after 20kms or so. its freakin me out cos i cant afford a damn rebuild. the car has only basic mods. twin pods, dumps/front pipes and zorst. apart from them, its stock. ANY ideas??? reckon its the pump, lifters, maybe the gauge is stuffed? anyone had anything like this go wrong?
-
im currently looking at an exhaust but i am also asking for everyones opinions on ANYTHING 2nd hand. is there anything i should steer clear of? thanks ofr the reply cowie
-
im after peoples opinions ideas etc on if its worth buying 2nd hand parts from an importer. what are the upsides and downsides of it? obviously the price is completely different. good example. a complete exhaust (dumps front pipes cat and exhaust in 3") $2000 new or $1350 2nd hand. whaddya reckon?

it is possible to change all of the lights in the climate control. i know a couple ppl as well as myself that have done it. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=115618 and as for the screen, hmmmm sounds like a loose join somewhere or something. a way to check that MIGHT work is to gently push the screen when its dull and see if it lights up properly. if that happens then id say u have a loose join. go right over it and check all the solders etc. good luck

Whats Ment To Go On The Passenger Side Kick Panel Bracket?

100% garenteed flare. mine was missin but my mates 33 'had' it! -
overall, it woulda taken me 3 days with 3 visits to jaycar to finish off my lights. (after work. not 3 days solid!) u just gotta mix and match to get the brightness. i neva blew any of em, but threw out a few cos they were too weak. i worked my way up from the weaker leds to the strongest that i wanted. that way the light isnt gonna be in ur face and distractin u from the real thing u should be lookin at at night time. the damn road!
-
dont stress too much about the light dispersion from the leds. all of the interior lights in my GTR are blue or white 3 mm leds. they ended up being different strengths depending on where they are. like the leds in the climate control are a stronger MCD rating compared to the dash surround lights. i used white leds behind the coloured hazard button and the up/down button on the climate control. also the on light for the rear dimister. the rest are blue. all of the leds got the tops off them sanded flat to help the light dispersion. the only problem i had is around my defog button on the bottom right on the climate control. the light is directly behind that button where as the others are spread evenly. so that button showed up brighter. i just have a weaker led in that now to even it out. it turned out to be a really cheap way for fixing my weak lighting prob. all up it cost around $30 including leds and resistors from JAYCAR. i only needed a soldering iron and screwdrivers plyers etc. basic stuff. just time consuming.
