if steering goes heavy to normal and back to heavy or similar, this could possibily be the speedo cable.

the hicas is still there. it doesnt appear to be connected to it. my GTR is in its last days of rebuild and still at mechanics. if it wasnt, id have a looksee...

A salesrep showed us this can yesterday. we took it outside to the "graveyard" (old machinery) and found the crappiest rusted looking bolt out there. this stuff got it loose 1st go. sprayed it on, waited 5 mins then undid it. that simple. have a look at it at : http://www.loctite.com.au/int_henkel/loctite_au/index.cfm

Jetstar suck ass! was flying back from whitsundays to melb via brissie. we had a 3 hr stopover in brissie before boarding a qantas flight. but jetstar being the morons they are, we were 4 hrs late and missed the qantas flight. jetstar wouldnt pay for anything. no free food or drinks on the flight. no taxi vouchers at brissie, no hotel room for the night. nothing! PEOPLE, STAY AWAY FROM JETSTAR! Qantas FTW!

its not a complete central locking system. as the drivers door locks unlocks, it trips the solenoid which operates the central locking on the passenger door. the problem could be all kinds of things. the best person i reckon to ask would be chris rogers. send him a pm.

Thats getting better and better everytime i look Deren! it took me quite a while to read what everybody had said. ive been so busy lately with getting mine back on the road. cracked heads arnt much fun. looks like my rebuild will be finished in 2 weeks. i still haven't had time to fix that faulty fuel filler pipe i told ya about!

you would need to be pushing some serious power before you need to change the bovs on a gtr. after my rebuild ill have around 300awkw and the bovs will still be stock. i see 2 reasons to change bovs. serious power or wank factor.

yea true. this strut bloke was pretty dodge. he said it wasnt worth it cos they wont fit. there will be no room for the bonnet to close. i do like how wogboy has his setup though. back where they are has them out of the way and no damn bonnet bar in the way when workin on the front. plus they look stock as. ill hafta look into the more when i get my car back from the rebuild. So has anybody had a stab at a 32? im curious as i had a professional strut guy have a look at my GTR and he reckons that there isnt enough room in there for struts to fit. Tein dont sell struts for 32s. (not that ive found anyways.) Nengun only sell Teins for 33's. Kezza, long time mate. if you get a chance to have a crack at this, can you let me know pls? i wont be getting my car back from getting the rebuild for another month.

check fluids in both power steering and hicas. watch speedo CAREFULLY and see if it is bouncing. even just a little bit. sign of worn speedo cable. this does affect steering. check hicas computer bolted to the bottom of the parcel shelf in the boot. theres a light on it that will blink if theres any errors. error codes are in the service manual

Maintainence is the key. You need a healthy motor for the go fast stuff to work. No point in spendin all your hard earned on go fast bits if the car doesnt go. This is what i would do

LOL im 24. it was a case of "excessive speed" as i do own a GTR. BIIIG mistake as i say it should be left to the race track. guess i will follow my own advice in future. the next 5 weeks better hurry up... sick of public transport!

GT-SS turbos from nengun for my 32gtr arrived the other day. $2786 delivered. same price for your car. i just checked. www.nengun.com better responce in my opinion. plus they are brand new. not worn 2nd hand n1 turbos

d jetro is only for race cars. stick with afm's. with afms, it will work out cheaper and easier to tune (if the mech knows what he is doin) if u wanna know more about power fc, read this, http://paulr33.skylinesaustralia.com/docs/...powerfc-faq.htm open up the exhaust with some dumps pipes. have a look at the trust 1s. their massive and come with the front pipe as a kit with all the stuff u need. (apart from gasket cement.) and the turbos and motor dont need to come out of the car to fit dumps, but it is a mongrel of a job. if i were u, i would take the car to a well known mech that knows a lot about GTR's and talk to them about it. get it dynoed and see how its running. see what they suggest for power upgrades. welcome! now if u wanna save money, forget the forged pistons camshaft etc as thems their ur basically looking at rebuild and $$$

from what i know, 32's didnt come with relays on the headlights. they can be fitted though and this will deliver a stronger amount of power to the headlights. then they will be brighter. im not good with electronics so when i get my car back from the mechanic, ill take it to an auto elect and get them to test the headlight system and to install relays to them.

sounds like you have a mixture of the same problems as to what Rekin and i have. Run the diagnostics and let us know what you come up with. make sure when you run them, do it in full sunlight or you will get error 25. thats the sunload sensor located in the left hand corner of the dash board closest to the window. (looks like a small plastic circle) i havent fixed mine yet as my car is getting a rebuild currently. good luck and let us know what happens. Cheers, Ron
