  1. Saw a sweet silver 33gtr on industrial drive last week, did not get the plates fully but I think they were something like 033 GTR
  2. Can the co driver compete in the top ten shoot out? If so I wonder if Murf will steer?
  3. Sorry for the super late reply. This is my tie downs they sink flush in the trailer and then you just thread your strap through the rear one and fix the ratchet to somewhere. My trailer needs some TLC but the system worked well for the few years it was being used regularly.
  4. I second that. How well did the Frenchy go! I think some time away and this new car suits him. If I was to go for a Holden it would be jamie and if I had to go for a ford it would be lost-it haha And for the Merc's I just hope they make the top ten and finish for Betty. For the actual day I will be in front of a TV somewhere, heavily with beer :-)
  5. Great looking ride mate. GL with the sale it is well priced.
  6. This is a great crank ready for a build. I am open to offers
  7. Lol you are a funny man
  8. Nice trophies! Car looks sensational as well
  9. Hello, Wanting to sell my RB26 crank shaft and main bearings. It was originally out of an R32 engine that had blown ring lands. I had it crack tested, and balanced and then decided to machine the mains 10" undersize to get the balance perfect. It has been machined to suit a set of 10" over bearings ACL race bearings. These will also be supplied. The crank was drilled and grub screwed also and is supplied with the grub screws. It has had a crank collar fitted also. The crank has been coated in rust preventative and was in storage due to family issues and now I have to part ways with it to pursue other things. To get this work done is very expensive due to the time and precision required, it is in very good condition and just needs a solvent bath and flush and will be good to assemble and install. I am looking to recover my costs so far and am looking for $900.00. Thanks for reading
  10. Haha thanks Neil
  11. Thanks Dale all good points. I was more thinking car geometry ie cog and rc than suspension. I don't know if this is correct but if I was to use the 18 the car would sit about 13 mm higher with the same suspension settings. Obviously this can be changed but just trying to limit the variables and just evaluate the tyre and rim combo on their own merits. Thanks again and you are rite it might come do to it is just more cost effective to run 17's.
  12. Lol massive fail. I dropped my phone and it sent the post before I was finished. Fat hands and iPhone do not work. Anyway as I was saying if you have any advice for me that would be great . Things I don't know are reliability, handling and geometry changes. Thanks for reading both my posts lol.
  13. Hi all, I am selecting some new wheels for my R33. I am looking to change my car back to a more factory spec to be eligible for more Tarmac rally events. One of the things I am going to change is the wheel size. If I stick to the 2" high and 2" wide increase rule I can go to 18 x 8.5 but the question is do I need to? I am current ally running stock R33 brembos and am happy to keep using them so I can get away with a 17" rim. 17" PROS I have weighed both options with a AO50 245 tyre and the 17" is lighter by 1.4kg per corner. The 17" tyre is $70.00 cheaper per corner 18" PROS Rolling diameter is 26mm bigger which would help me stay with the current diff ratio. Might be able to pick up cheap second hand tyres for track days etc. better brake cooling. Saying all the above you all might have some more info for me to help
  14. Very cool. Do you have an approx completion date?
  15. Looking good
  16. Looks great mate
  17. Will take some pics today guys.
  18. That is a great idea. I use that idea on my trailer as if ratchet straps are used incorrectly they can stuff your alignment. I purchased some spring loaded fold down tie down points from a trailer place and welded them into the checker plate. I run two 3T straps over my front wheels and then back to a secure point for the ratchet to connect too. The rear just gets two spare 1.5t straps through the rears (not too tight) just incase I hit any large bumps or jumps hehe. I got the idea from a tow truck set up.
