  1. I looked and looked for a decent wagon. I had one lined up too, then my wife got sick after the birth of our daughter (she's fine now). The deal fell through, and I cracked it and low balled the one we have now. It had seriously been up for sale for about six months. The guy agreed and then the slow process of fixing it up again began. For example here are the original wheels that were offered with the car (i declined them):
  2. Just for reference. Believe this one is sold.
  3. I used to have an E60 M5. It may have been the least reliable car ever... I had it for two years, it spent 3 full months during that period at BMW. I then bought my wife an E61 530i. It was neglected (in terms of maintenance) horribly when we purchased it, i have spent a fair amount of cash fixing it up since. It is now brilliant and does everything we could possibly want. Disclaimer: I like wagons... Being delivered: *The crowd were all there to see some other blokes Range Rover. He was sure he had the best bargain ever, until he learned the price of the wagon (sub 15k):
  4. It's not that i dislike AWD, but i have never had a need for it so far in my driving life. It's just that this car is at what looks to be a good price point and does everything I think i'll need it to. *Edit, i'm really just trying to make sure i don't get blindsided with a car that has issues... I'll also be getting it checked by an independent company (State-Roads, i've used them before).
  5. @iamhe77, thanks for the feedback. Appreciate the help. I've done the ring around on insurance. RACV will be ok (but only had one 2004 generic stagea as listed, took a while to work out if this car was covered), looks like it will cost about $900 a year for full comp (30yo, rating 1). So i'm ok with that. And the fuel sounds like it will be the same as the ute right now. I believe these things have traction control so no awd isn't going to be a problem and as a bonus it will weigh considerably less. We have a 530i wagon (in my avatar) that we use as our hauler. It's been an amazing car, if the Stagea even comes close, it'll be awesome. Really it just needs to fit my bikes (i'm quite tall so they are also large). And towing, nope, pass on that. That's what utes are for... So looking good then...
  6. Hi all, I am, currently in the market to buy a wagon, and am looking at the M35 Stagea with a VQ35de under the bonnet. I am primarily buying this car to replace my Falcon ute as I need something to carry my push bikes and daughter around in and my ute is bit, well, sad might be the right term (equal parts reliable and uncomfortable). With that said I will be looking at this car on the weekend and would be keen to get feedback from the forum: http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Nissan-Stagea-2004/SSE-AD-4032193/?Cr=25 Happy to take the good and the bad feedback here.
  7. Thanks for putting this up. I was actually going to enquire on this car (and ask for more documentation from Japan). You've saved me that trouble.
  8. This thread appears to have died, i'm in the market for a clean R33 GTR. Could you please let me know if this is still up for sale or has since been sold?
  9. Thanks for the link @I gotta R34gtr v-spec, I am having someone (who knows a little more than I) investigate it for me. If anyone else turns up any other GTR LM Limited's I would still be keen to hear from you.
  10. Hi all, I'm currently trying to find one of these to buy (so feel free to contact me if you know anything). I'm not sure if anyone else has seen this but it looks as though one was imported into the U.S. last year: http://www.23gt.net/2015/10/motorex-redux-r33-gt-r-enters-country.html
  11. Wanted to buy: R33 GTR LM Limited Currently I have engaged an importer in the hopes of turning up an R33 GTR LM at the Japanese auctions. Ideally the car will have: 100k or less kms. Prefer original condition, however I would still be interested in hearing from you if you have a modified car. I'm based in Melbourne, but I would consider any car currently in Australia.
