  1. just wanting to know what gearbox is this and if it’s a push or pull type clutch? The car is an R34 GTT NEO, factory auto but has been converted to manual prior to my ownership. Hope this image helps lol
  2. Ok seems a good idea, I’ll give it a shot. thanks
  3. Ok so after a few months of upgrading the turbo on my RB25DET Neo, had new manifold, top mount holset hx32, custom oil feed line, return and exhaust. bla bla all the required parts, primes the turbo with new oil, removed spark and cranked engine over. No oil what so ever came out of the oil feed line, tried cranking about 4 times. Still nothing. Removed oil feed like completely from the block to check for any possible blockages and kinks. The line is good. So I left the line off the block and cranked a couple times and not even a drop of oil cane out the side of the block ! It’s been sitting in my drive and last time it was started was July, could the oil pump be seized? checked the dipstick the oil still looked quite clean (still gold tbh) and no sludge. Should I take the sump off and inspect the pickup tube ? Need advice please Rory.
  4. Lmaooo f**k sake I have a multimeter. I tried yesterday but think I f**ked up it was only showing 0.4someathing at idle, I’ll try the other plug as I’m guessing that one I tested was the sender maybe?
  5. Got some time to look at the car again, what’s the best way to measure the voltage on the pump?
  6. Hi all, deleted the bov recirc and oil breather - the two pipes the connect to the turbo intake pipe. I have blocked them with bungs. Now wondering where do I put the hose that goes to the boost controller/solenoid. As the nipple it used to connect to was on of the pipes that I removed. Where’s the best place to put it? T it with something else or drill a hole in the intake and put it there? Thanks
  7. Bought a branded fpr(malpassi/sytec) it adjust below 40 psi no problem needle is still. As soon as I get to 40psi it flutters like crazy. What else could caus this? Don’t think ther is a fuel leak anywhere doesnt sound sweet either, could be injector maybe?
  8. It adjusts down and needle doesn’t fluctuate. Gets to 3 bar and doesn’t get any higher and fluctuates. what’s a good brand fpr? Malpassi any good?
  9. Put new pump in, the only difference now is the needle sits at around 3 bar but it’s fluctuating like mad and still won’t adjust pressure up or down ??
  10. yeah I think I will swap the pump out. if no success I will get the stock fpr and try a gauge on it. Car was running fine before I changed the plenum. It’s sat for a couple months whilst doing so maybe the battery is weak I’ll check to voltage for the battery and the pump. What should the pump be getting do you know ?
  11. Nah the outport is returning to tank. also tried another fpr and gauge and still can’t adjust either way !! wtf I’m f**king annoyed to say the least....
  12. Lol true.. I still have one fuel damper if that would even matter? the damper is about 3/4 inch after the return port on the fpr. new fpr still not arrived so I went to have a look again.
  13. Check the alt belt, could be worn and slipping or not enough tension maybe. My R34 battery light came on last year and died turned out the belt for alternator shredded and flew off.
  14. another reg on the way, I’ll swap the gauge over first then if no avail I’ll try the new reg.
  15. Standard pump, although I have a Walbro waiting to go in. an6 all round no kinks
  16. f**k It I’ll just buy another one
  17. So just done ffp on my neo (greddy style) along with the fuel rail so I bought a sard fpr it’s a knock off. Trying to set it a at 43psi without vacuum but it won’t raise or lower fuel pressure. It’s static at about 39psi ? I have it setup like so : tank>filter>fuel rail>fpr>return to tank. Anything i have missed or is it just a bad fpr? I know it’s a knockoff but it’s new and it should work?
  18. Hi everyone, okay so the story is I’m going to put a holset hx32/35 hybrid top mount on my rb25det NEO. Got most if not all parts/supporting mods ready. I bought injectors for R35/350z fitment a while ago (Before I bought plenum and rail) as they are top feed and fit the NEO....But I would very much like a Front facing plenum as it completes the looks, I know you don’t gain performance with the greddy knock off but this thread isn’t to debate that. FFP is mainly for looks and easier access to maintenance & repairs. Anyway... here is a pic with the injectors fully seated. It looks that they are too far back. They look recessed by about half an inch? I haven’t fitted these front plenums before. But this doesn’t look right? Surely the injector must be further in towards the front of plenum/mating face area? Secondly, are the supposed to fit inside the first hole in the rail? Because it doesn’t. It’s not a snug fit. It’s very loose. I bought a 419 piece o ring set off eBay and surprise not one of the o rings fit inside the rail. I guess I will need to take injectors and rail to o ring specialist and get some? Picture 3 is with another o ring on the injector, pic 5 is without second o ring fully pressed into the rail. In the meantime I’m just going to run standard rail and standard injectors on the greddy knock off manilfold. If anyone has done this setup before or similar situation please any info will be greatly appreciated. Rory.
  19. Airbag light When I imported my R34 recently it came with aftermarket wheel and airbag light on dash. I need mot before I can register it so I need to solve this issue. I have already tried resetting it by the door jam button method. I have fitted the correct resistor between the two airbag connector wires. Both front seat plugs are connected underneath. Not sure what to try next. I don't want to simply take the bulb out or tape over it a this will fail mot. My airbag light is constantly solid and doesn't flash. Rory.
