You cannot repair them mate, if top tanks are available i've never seen one, I plastic weld with a Lister, but never radiators or fuel tanks. All those epoxy based filler glues are snake oil they don't work. If moneys a bit short grab a second hand one plenty of options in the big city There are even cheap all aluminium ones although take a good look at the welds some look a bit work experience.

I would check it against an RB25 one then , just trying to help mate. Did you paint the Pushy to match the engine or the other way round??
-
The exhaust gear looks like its hitting the cover??
-
The extra offset is around 7.5mm
-
The top one is a the RB25 the bottom one is RB30. the extra offset is pretty obvious
-
-
Backing plate is not fitted either it would be even worse!!
-
What's on the floor??? Have you mixed up old 30 gear with your 25 stuff??
-
Of course this doesn't mean every set would be this close, I could be the luckiest bloke alive
-
Slope flow matching..... my set was flow matched within 0.5% Offset matching.@3 bar/13.5volts my set was offset matched within 0.5% and back in they went to the other Skyline we are keeping absolutely stock.

I got a set of R33 rb25 injectors cleaned & flowed a couple of years ago, i'm trying too find the results they are in the workshop somewhere, will post soon.

RB 25DET coarse OEM intake manifold cast ..
Rusty Nuts replied to Torques's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Nope, mine was cast by an orangutan on work experience and there was clear evidence of a permanent pool of oil having existed for the engines first life ie a big brown "bathtub ring" -
Stay with side feeds mate you can progress up to 1000cc is the simple answer. The 2000ish WRX STi used 550cc versions which are cheap and plentiful. and Kudos for a nice supercharger choice.
-
GTSBoy email Deutchwerks and tell them their side feeds are underdeveloped shitty old tech, they will disagree. How hard can that be to follow? Light travels faster than sound, that's why some people appear bright until they speak!

The only reasons I have been able to gather over the last forty years are: Side feed Injectors 1)Because side feed injectors are mounted in the fuel rail and are surrounded by fuel it provides a better cooling effect, in turn you can run a higher duty cycle and push them a bit harder with less chance of failure than a top feed. 2)Side feed injector rails have to be well designed and manufactured to perform as well as top feed rails. This assumes you dont fit a fancy coloured chinese lookalike top feed rail off ebay. 3) Side feed injector size tops out at 1000cc ( top feed 2000cc or more) 4) Side feed injectors are EXPENSIVE. A set of Deutchwerks 850 top feeds are $300 cheaper than side feeds. 5)Top feed injectors Much greater variety of vehicles use top feeds, and much greater range of sizes available IMHO this is a trueism , it is just a different way of accomplishing the same thing injecting fuel! There are certainly a greater variety of top feed injector sizes but over the years there has been a growing hatred of side feed injectors. Rather than just call them "shitty old side feeds" give a proven reason why 450cc top feeds PERFORM better than an equivalent side feed. I am extremely cautious of cheap top feeds they can have spray patterns like a dog with diarrhea.

RB 25DET coarse OEM intake manifold cast ..
Rusty Nuts replied to Torques's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Me Too Andy, I also would not be able to resist removing those crusty bits, just because they look awful. The Neo head on mine was cast and finished so badly at the rear oil drain that half of the gallery was blocked, I spent a couple of hours on that. -
You may have stored faults in your ecu, check and erase. The cluster alters the speed sensor signal for its own and the ecu's use. check the Large main connector is inserted correctly. Good Luck.

RB 25DET coarse OEM intake manifold cast ..
Rusty Nuts replied to Torques's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
You are only going to be able to get at a small amount of the intake runners, not the whole intake manifold unless you extrude hone it. That will cost a fortune. Dry intake systems should benefit from smoothing, whereas fuel loaded systems benefit from a courser finish. Will the time and money spent give you an economical gain is more the question. Positive pressure dry intake systems maybe inherently turbulent, I seem to remember that they have an insanely high Reynolds number which would make the flow inherently turbulent, but ive forgotten more than I remember about laminar flow. Also through out this entire process, Consult threw up no error codes which made diagnostics difficult (impossible) hence reverting to checking signals were correct for ECU/TCU/TRANSMISSION combination. also hours spent checking wiring was correct and not compromised.
-
I have matched TCU with ECU from R32 i'm not bloody stupid mate and read the threads on Nistune before becoming an instant expert there are many of us who have had problems with auto's and Nistune is aware as far as I know. We have tried four TCU's and two auto transmissions, changed speed sensors and corrected speed signals to no avail. Its not as simple as you seem to think. Hence my comment more development required. Its definitely the nistune ECU when the R33 ECU was reinstalled the engine ran like shit but the auto worked

For your sake I hope that like Subaru (whom I worked for, for many years) the superceding part number just never made it into the Parts manuals, as these IPDM"s suffer from relay failure the new part number with an improved relay on board may only be cited in a service bulletin as manufacturers don't expect customers to have the skills to replace them and expect it will only be replaced in an authorised dealership. As in this quote from the relevent recall campaign from Nissan QUOTE"Nissan Bulletins are intended for use by qualified technicians, not 'do-it-yourselfers'. Qualified technicians are properly trained individuals who have the equipment, tools, safety instruction, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. NOTE: If you believe that a described condition may apply to a particular vehicle, DO NOT assume that it does. See your Nissan dealer to determine if this applies to your vehicle

After this thread was raised, decided to try out Partsouq , my order was in the air with DHL within 12 hours, and was in Brisbane and cleared through customs after another 24 hours, its now on hold at DHL Brisbane which is typical, very frustrating to know it got to Australia in 36 hours but have been informed the last 35kms to my place will take another 5 days. This is typical of the sh*t service we get domestically.
