  1. I’m about the fit the same turbo all Be it will be on 6 boost and external wastegate, top mounted, on 98 Ron to a unopened rb25 neo, also power F.C. Intend to run a r35 gtr afm probably in 4” tube im still on stock inlet manifold, will that be a major hold back ? Or just a minor issue? Also, do you need a external oil restrictor on these turbos for rb25 ?
  2. So I went and ordered a 6 boost, gtx3076 and 50mm wastegate. The shop doing my work is asking about the screamer pipe how do most have them ? I don’t think I want it rejoining the exhaust so was thinking just run it out near the gearbox area facing the ground. I’m new to this so any advice welcome. It’s a r34 gtt
  3. TO add I have had 5 skylines before, 2 had stock frame hybrid turbo type setups and both could hold 1.4-1.6 bar to limiter so this tailing off is eating at me a bit,

My long term goal is 6boost,plazmaman,gtx3071 or 3076 gen2 type spec but that’s a while away so something that bolts on for now that gives more than the 2530, the boost tails off fairly early on it I find leaving you feeling a bit underwhelmed as that’s the joy of rb25 for me, pulling power right to high revs
  5. Would a good hybrid bolt on steel core type stock turbo frame be a worth upgrade over a 2530?
  6. So to wake this up do I need twin scroll for the above type setups or is that better on the larger power builds.
  7. Ye i I don't intend to lighten the standard one. But I just want one pre skimmed for the new clutch to save having to leave mine into a machine shop for a day or 2 meaning the car is off the road longer
  8. Hi i have a r34 gtt factory manual car. Pull clutch setup. I'm changing the clutch and want to get the fly skimmed but want the car off the road for only a few hours so I want to get a spare flywheel and skim it in prep are all rb25 flywheels the same ? Or do I need a neo specific one and is there any recommended ones I could buy off the shelf that are lightened or just leave it standard? thanks

  10. Yep power fc its currently on stock afm although I have a r35 gtr afm ready to fit. Will need tuned again then it currently makes about 1.3 bar but tails off fairly early, I know that's fairly expected but is there anything I can do to help that ? If I run higher boost will it hold it better to red line?

  12. Hi i have fitted a hks 2530 to my r34 gtt. I know they are not the best match but as a stop gap, what sort of boost level should I run it at, on 98 Ron with usual mods, stock manifolds etc and power fc and what sort of power do they generate thanks

  14. The above pic. There is a silver pipe that runs from left hand side then in the middle of the back of the head it transfers into a black rubber pipe. With a clip. That area. Would be great
  15. Ye that's it, the smaller pipe, it's very hard to see on the car in situe.

  17. Hi has anyone a rb25 neo sitting on the bench or just pulled one ? im about to replace a turbo return coolant hose and it runs from turbo, under exhaust manifold and to the rear of the head. I can't see what I'm doing and if someone had a pic of the rear of the engine with the rigid pipe in place it would help, showing clips etc anyone? Thanks

  20. Hi all i have a stock rb25 neo for road use. I'm considering my turbo options, current spec is gtr 570cc injectors, hks 2530, power fc, intercooler and the usual bolt on stuff ive had plenty of skylines and silvias but never had anything top mounted so I think it's time i have not got massive power figures on my agenda, but response and solid boost while not pushing the neo to hard. I've narrowed it to the gen2 5558 precision or the gtx3076 gen2, any opinions ? i will either use 6 boost, sinco or a CRG manifold, v band likely and need advice on a wastegate too, is 40mm enough? It will run 98ron and I have a r35 gtr afm which I hope will cope ? thanks
  21. Going to lend a bore scope camera from work to get a look, there is next to no visibility as is from the top anyway i can now see why it's been bodged rather than done right
  22. Jubilee clip job or one of those spring clips holding the standard one in?
  23. Cool Ye that's the end the hose company said I need it looks a complete ball ache. But surely possible, plenty buy braided hoses for these things ?

  25. Hi im new here and this is my first query. I have a r34 gtt and it's had a hks 2530 turbo fitted. But the coolant line, I believe to be the return line from turbo to the rear of the engine has been fitted a bit rough and ready it currently has a piece of braided hose coming from the turbo joining the standard rigid pipe by form of a jubilee clip, just beside the exhaust downpipe. It's leaking slightly at this crude join. I have ordered a single braided return line but I'm curious about fitting. What way does the new braided hose fit to the block ? Or what way do I delete the factory rigid line and fit my braided one instead thanks guys
