  1. Not when you track a shitbox But in seriousness, from my experience, what you've mentioned stands true for me. Weight transfers, feeling the car, etc I've learnt on the track through corners. Can't do them on the road unless you're being stupid. That is why I recommended going to Marulan, low speed track with twists, elevation changes and rough surfaces haha. I've never done a 'high speed' track in my GT-R so I my experiences are a bit different to say Pezhead's. No matter what you choose (I recommend texi even though I haven't done it myself) it will help. Hell, even playing Gran Turismo 6 will teach you a few things
  2. Scary to think that they're controlling ~1,500kg of machinery that can easily kill people.
  3. Tried cleaning the AFM? Sensor in the cat is the temp probe so ignore that. As stated, the O2 sensor is on the dump pipe. Also a good idea to change spark plugs if you haven't done so recently. BCPR6ES-8 is what you want. Don't bother spending more on the expensive ones. Have you looked at changing the coil packs if they haven't been changed recently?
  4. Tonight I was coming home from cinemas (took the GT-R). Three cars buzzed past me, a work ute, a new Pulsar and a Camry. I was sitting on 70 in a 70 zone. First to slow down was the ute, doing 60 in 70 after a few traffic lights. Then it was the Camry doing 60, the Pulsar kept catching up to me after a few momemts of 60 km/h cruising for some reason. The entire way the road was a 70 zone (Cowpasture Rd for the Sydney siders). Drivers all looked 30+. It's a mixed bag really.
  5. Bracket from here: http://www.evok3d.com.au/Fire_Extinguisher_Mounting_Bracket_Skyline_GTT_GT_p/bra002.htm Then an extinguisher from Big W/wherever. Look into Marulan as well for some "track time". You sound like the type that wants to improve your driving (like most of us on here) so any track time will help. I speak from experience, my first two track days were in my crappy R31! No prior experience, and the skills I gained literally saved me a few times. Things like the way I held the steering wheel and hand movements changed after the first track day. Enjoy, welcome and don't be shy to sign up for the membership, it's pretty cheap.
  6. Spotted silver BNR34 in the Orangegrove underground parking, with white Volk Challenges.
  7. That's my goal, to get my car to 10L/100km. I know it's doable and now you have provided proof. I need to find my damn missing AFM then get it tuned!
  8. You're better off spending that money on petrol/food/servicing your car. If you think standard airboxes are a huge restriction, look up the BMI video of the Mine's R34 GT-R and see what that car uses .
  9. Yep, fullystancebroz are too busy in Maccas car parks taking Instagram pictures I like the lack of attention, one less thing to bother me while I'm driving. Interesting to see middle aged drivers flooring it when they hear/see me cruise by.
  10. Warming up for Summernats?
  11. Yeah same PCD
  12. Take it to someone that knows what they're doing. They screwed up the camber that badly it's as bad as the experiences I have had with "tyre shops". I've done better adjusting blindly in my garage. Also the rear toe seems to be excessive.
  13. New 02 sensors should help it, if you haven't replaced them recently. Apart from that, it's usually AFMs crapping out. I once got 10.5L/100km driving up to Newcastle and back to Sydney. That was when the AFMs were still good. Big fluke as it never dropped below 12L.
  14. I've never filled up more than 65L, I don't run my cars that low on fuel. Generally I get 450-500km to 60L combined, that's with minimal boosties of course. Lately I've struggling to get to 400km (for 60L), too much thrashing.
  15. I think I saw on bookface that it was sorted.
  16. You do realise that those are my old BNR34 wheels and I got 265 wide tyres fitted. How is that too big?
  17. If you don't mind the shape, then the R33 is the one to get. Great bang for your buck.
  18. Penrite Premium 5
  19. Wow you thrash your cars. My GT-R gets 12-13L in traffic.
  20. NO. Do some research on the suspension design differences betweek the Silvia and Skyline.
