  1. Yep, you're insane.
  2. Apologies if I sound like a dick, but if they're not OEM then they're not "the real deal". Do have pictures of the ballasts/bulbs/wiring? You didn't state what bulb the kit has (genuinely interested).
  3. I have Nardi but it's worn. If you're interested, PM me.
  4. Lol random post is random. Get BCPR6ES-8 (~$4 each) and replace them every 30,000km. As for everyone else confused on what oil to get, use this: Penrite PREMIUM 5 5W-60
  5. Why not just call it "Beware - dodgy cars for sale in Sydney" ?
  6. I think it's 1992 onwards that the GT-R switched to pull-type.
  7. Sorry, my story is referring to the GT-R's.
  8. A mate of mine was unfortunate enough to take his car there (closest shop from where his car broke down). $3k and a week later to diagnose and fix a clutch pedal issue.
  9. Simple solution, don't take passengers
  10. Add me if you want: nizmo_man, interesting to see other people's license runs. Been slowly playing it. Was pretty disinterested until I done a Seasonal and got 1mil credits lol. Now I have a red HR31 with bigger (finally!) wheels and am playing it almost every day.
  11. You mean get the guards rolled?
  12. Nah, you'll have to take the O2 sensor and and shake it. If it's rattles, replace. But if they're 50,000+ km old then replace them anyway.
  13. Try another AFM. Also check the wiring/plug. Could be CAS (dizzy) + the wiring/plug but they would rev. Usually, if it can't rev past 2,000rpm = AFM.
  14. They're not ugly, they're just 'soft' compared to the R32 and R34. I'd happily swap my R32 for an R33 (GT-R of course). The story of the 90's Skyline goes (which I made up): R32 Skyline = Top athlete, smashing competition around the world. Got banned from competing (Group A racing). R33 Skyline = After the ban, depressed Skyline stopped doing cardio and started eating more junk food, became fatter but still had the muscles underneath. R34 Skyline = Went through some soul searching, decided to train up to get back to the glory days, became toned up and muscle-y. R35 = Roids, not a Skyline any more.
  15. That looks a bit sus haha.
  16. How about some LMGT1s? (see Piggaz's for sale thread).
  17. My LMGT1s are 1996 made as well. Why would you downgrade to something lesser? Good luck with the sales.
  18. Not when you track a shitbox But in seriousness, from my experience, what you've mentioned stands true for me. Weight transfers, feeling the car, etc I've learnt on the track through corners. Can't do them on the road unless you're being stupid. That is why I recommended going to Marulan, low speed track with twists, elevation changes and rough surfaces haha. I've never done a 'high speed' track in my GT-R so I my experiences are a bit different to say Pezhead's. No matter what you choose (I recommend texi even though I haven't done it myself) it will help. Hell, even playing Gran Turismo 6 will teach you a few things
  19. Scary to think that they're controlling ~1,500kg of machinery that can easily kill people.
  20. Tried cleaning the AFM? Sensor in the cat is the temp probe so ignore that. As stated, the O2 sensor is on the dump pipe. Also a good idea to change spark plugs if you haven't done so recently. BCPR6ES-8 is what you want. Don't bother spending more on the expensive ones. Have you looked at changing the coil packs if they haven't been changed recently?
  21. Tonight I was coming home from cinemas (took the GT-R). Three cars buzzed past me, a work ute, a new Pulsar and a Camry. I was sitting on 70 in a 70 zone. First to slow down was the ute, doing 60 in 70 after a few traffic lights. Then it was the Camry doing 60, the Pulsar kept catching up to me after a few momemts of 60 km/h cruising for some reason. The entire way the road was a 70 zone (Cowpasture Rd for the Sydney siders). Drivers all looked 30+. It's a mixed bag really.
  22. Bracket from here: http://www.evok3d.com.au/Fire_Extinguisher_Mounting_Bracket_Skyline_GTT_GT_p/bra002.htm Then an extinguisher from Big W/wherever. Look into Marulan as well for some "track time". You sound like the type that wants to improve your driving (like most of us on here) so any track time will help. I speak from experience, my first two track days were in my crappy R31! No prior experience, and the skills I gained literally saved me a few times. Things like the way I held the steering wheel and hand movements changed after the first track day. Enjoy, welcome and don't be shy to sign up for the membership, it's pretty cheap.
