  1. i was this close to taking them off, buying 4 big bottle of coke and cut the tops off and leave them in there over night to free them up. glad it never got to that point. cheers mate
  2. ive got the ride height 358mm from hub centre to fender in rear, and 355 in front. i mainly did this to clear some big 275/40/r17's on my regas and get rid of the nasty camber in the rear it used to have. who ever had the suspension set up before had it sagging in the rear like crazy for what ever stupid idea car handled like shizznit. once the 10 feet of snow is gone i might actually be able to try this 100k paper weight out and enjoy it with the family again.....hard starring at it everyday she wants the beans giving to her bad. will be fitting a ppg dog set soon!
  3. When i was told i couldnt get them unlocked by another mate i was determined, i truely believe the acetone was the key but again im no scientist maybe they just finally decided to come free after 100 swings with hammers. i started small and the hammers kept getting bigger.
  4. I fricken tell yeah mates I must have went at these lock rings for 2 hours, I used just about every product under the sun till I finally got some acetone inside the ring area/ wire brush till nothing left of brush, and lightly tapped/ smashed the hell out of them with a punch I made out of a bolt and got them loose, I got some 275’s I want to clear without rolling or touching my fenders and I hate the rear camber so I brought her up a fair bit. I like when gtr’s sit high up looks like they mean business. Anyway someone tell me what the hell these coil overs are that I have.....they say npg but that means nothing to me lol, maybe eBay I dunno I’m not a scientist. They feel great tho I must say.
  5. hey ben long time mate. i think the 6266 would be a good option. thats what i have on my new built engine in the black car. at 30psi it is a street weapon pulls to 8500 no problem with a 1.0 a/r. sorry to hear about the motor, i had the same luck this summer im on engien number 2...cheers mate hope all is well good chap.
  6. I call it poor mans e85. I can’t afford that stuff we have to order it by barrel around here. We have no gas pump for e85 within 1200km. Non the less I’m still going to crank it to 30psi
  7. Started installing the meth kit last night, managed to get it mounted so I could still access the awd resevior. Battery is located on other side I figured this was a nice spot for it. Cheers mates.
  8. I have been using a few different sizes, I started with thicker stuff when I was learning but now that I’ve tried a few different sizes I prefer the 2mm stuff as it’s quite a bit lighter than the 2.5-3mm stuff I was using and it still plenty strong enough for little trinkets like catchcans/ over flows, power steering reservoir etc. Intercooler pipe is 2mm thick as well that I use.
  9. Got the catchcan and coolant over flow done today looks ok for a Cheap garage built piece that I cut out with a skill saw lol. Cheers mates.
  10. This was what it turned out like. Definitely letting the piece cool down lots between welds and cranking my heat worked well for me...cheers mates. No more warping for the maple leaf warrior!!!!!
  11. Thanks good buddy. I tried this today and it worked great. Your a good mate.
  12. this is a picture of what im doing, thats the 2" lid sitting on top in that picture but im trying to use 1.5"....
  13. I just got into aluminum tig welding a year ago and do a pretty descent job still very green though, lately ive been making some coolant over flows with a 1.5" screw on cap for filling, and i keep warping them and the cap wont screw on once im done welding. its a shame because i make these great pieces then i weld the cap on and completely wreck it because the lid wont screw on...the 2" screw on caps i weld i havent had an issue with them warping but once i get down to a 1.5" for some reason i warp them every so often. sometimes they dont warp sometimes they do, i realize im self taught and am propably missing something....any tricks from the mates would be appreciated? im using all vibrant pieces for my fabrication fyi. cheers mates
  14. if i had a factoryish skyline i would leave it alone and service as needed. however one of the best mods i did to my black gtr was getting the GKtech delete kit and removing all that shinanigans. cleans up the fire wall, makes some room, shaves some weightish. i really like that it gets rid of the hard lines along the firewall. the soft lines are way nicer to deal with. also you can sneak a nice catch can in that spot if thats your thing.
  15. Bunging around a bit in the old garage trying to make a half descent looking catchcan/coolant over flow. Spent about 6 hours starring at it like a physco before the wheels started turning in my brain. This is what I got so far. Not so bad for the average maple leaf warrior. Fittings for catchcan will be on the backside beside fuse box with a nice drain line ran out bottom to beside my frame where i can reach out twist a valve to let the blow by shinanigins out, cheers chaps have a fantastic day🤟
  16. type r integra is not a bad unit, big bills for one now though and not super fast. i had one(left hand drive canadian model little bit different) but until you smash through the gears and off the limiter in one all day and rail some tight cornered tracks with it, its hard to explain how fun/reliable they are. great little grocery getter cheap on fuel easy to fix. cheers
  17. You better believe it brother. It’s been a long time coming. It’s a shame the old motor Grenaded itself completely or I would have been able to build the original motor to the same spec. I sure love the tourque of the higher compression and the motor wants to rev to the moon. Rev limiter is set to 8500 till I grow some bigger cahoonahs between my legs and let her rev a little more. I know the rb30 is a better setup but I’m happy with my 2.8, Cheers mate gtr power
  18. Finally got the old girl home and ready for battle this up coming summer. Feels like a rocket even at 27ish pounds! Shes built with Aussie pride and thanks to all for the information throughout the years. Im Gunna pump out a catch can/ coolant overflow this week. I was going to run one of my abs catch cans that I sell quite a lot of but for a single turbo setup with that big downpipe there I just don’t like the idea of oil being on that side of the engine bay when it doesn’t have to be. For twins not so bad. Anyways we got a lot of snow so it will be a bit before I actually get to send it again. I’d love to go pound this thing through some snow but I just have to much invested into the old girl. They salt our roads heavy so no gtr power for while. Cheers good chaps the maple leaf warrior will post again soon. IMG_4347.MOV
  19. This was my old rig from high school haha wasn’t a 4 door but I would tickle the tongue of skunk to have another one like it, it was tons of fun mate. Reliable too
  20. the old toyota hilux wouldnt be a bad unit. nice little turbo diesel 4 door with a 5 speed and your good to go mate.
  21. We also restored this old beast with a Cummins in it great for backyard hits she jams in pretty much anywhere and Didn’t cost a guy is left and right nut to purchase it either! 2500km drive later we ended up bringing a cat home that was freezing to death in -50 too. Stopped for parts and came out to a cat on the diff trying to stay warm. I was blessed to bring her home to the crew! IMG_4066.MOV
  22. Here’s a few pics of what the hell the crazy Canadian has been screwing around with these days from blown motor to wife got a nicer car than me, to totally broke my gtr so I have to cut trees everyday lol. My son is growing fast life is good. IMG_2851.MOV FullSizeRender.mov IMG_3069.MOV
