  1. Yeah got it Was over thinking it
  2. Ah, my bad writing richer, I did mean volume (drinking and watching movies ATM lol) So tune as per usual (using lambda) but will need more injector to get the mixtures correct So I confused myself for no reason
  3. 2 incanberra have e-flex (caltex)
  4. I know that, I'm talking purely about e-flex/e85 So let me re-phrase Because e85 needs to run much richer than petrol Would lambda 1 in the sense of e85 be that same as lambda 1 on petrol and how does the o2 sensor know you are on ethanol, which is why I asked if disco changed the settings on the tech edge to suit the ethanol fuel
  5. Me too Oh wait, no I havent
  6. As above or a fuel pump controller to turn the pumps down when cruising
  7. Ahhh that makes sense...kinda to used to thinking Gasoline AFR's and not lambda so just to clarify, Lambda of 1 on any fuel is the cleanest (ala full) of the fuel? So, will E-flex make best power at Lambda 1 or something like 0.85? or richer again?
  8. Its funny how everyone is saying how tail happy the Skylines are in the wet, mine was faster and handled better in the wet than it ever did in the dry haha
  9. Should have noted that I doubt it will mean much if you had it cleared, but if it was current they could possibly spin some BS about an un road worthy car
  10. Im going to SDMA tomorrow
  11. Any (street) engine built these days with forged slugs should not have piston slap full blown race engines built loose (ala NASCAR/Super taxi's?Pro Stock Drag cars etc) will have some when cold, but 99% of the time they have engine pre-heaters to avoid the start up wear
  12. Did you change the TE Wb settings for ethanol or leave it pre configured (petrol) I have aTE 2J1 and from memory you can change that stuff But if tuning by lambda works than that is good to know
  13. maybe who ever did that threw them over a Nissan Dealer
  14. did he magically use the exact same comp tester as you did he?
  15. It's fine The numbers mean nothing, it's the spead or variation that really matters Or your engine has done 500,000ks
  16. Yup now the rest of the country needs to pull their finger out
  17. anyone gonna brave the cold tonight?
  18. You are looking at around 400 for new guides, stem seals will be about 100 bucks, facing the head will be 50-100 + labour to disasemble, clean and re-assemble (as a guess 100p/h + new gaskets (VRS kit is about 300 from memory) + new head bolts it gets expensive quick
  19. What sort of racing are we talking? your post confuses me a little, you have a dead standard car with rego......why would you need a trailer/special permit?
  20. thread dig!! R18+ games passed through the ACT legislative yesterday afternoon
  21. Who has a silver 34 gt-t with a carbon bonnet and gold rims and works in Woden?
  22. Pulling timing may also raise EGT's , imo the RS is just too small for a 2.5 that spends lots of time at WOT but, plenty of people use them (and similar) with no probs, I ran 20psi with a little high flow with no dramas even after a 40 min sesh at wakie if its detonating than the tune is to blame, I would add more fuel before pulling timing (due to above) who cares if you lose 5-10 killerwasps
  23. Notice how close the houses are! Note that Yanks dont care...in fact they love it This is why the US is better than Australia
