  1. ...better hope you don't need to put any weight back in haha Can't see the pistons and rods being different weights over the set of 6 though
  2. Was it balanced with rods/piston weight? It's not that far out really, and considering tomei would machine them with their own pistons and rods in mind
  3. So you have a car you spent 80k on but nothing else?
  4. Just unloading the container now, should be in here
  5. What? I'm trying to help you Stupid twat, that's the last time I'll help you
  6. Ah yes sorry, been so long If its ok I'll get you to help me with it on the Supra this weekend so the girlfriend can drive it
  7. Yeah, remove the sump, fit the turbo in there and re-fit the sump and no-one but you will ever know its there
  8. Does sound like a good idea...new thread coming up
  9. I assume by bracket racing you mean Drag racing It does sound like a good idea do it DYO (Dial your own) and post up time slips from wednesday night meets or something?
  10. haha yeah the oil made from molten gold and platinum wont be cheap
  11. I should be picking up a VT commodore with the 304 v8 should tow pretty well with heaps of off idle torque Plus its servicing costs for 10 years will be less than a q7 for 1 year
  12. See my post bobbeh I dont agree with non refundable deposits especially at long notice, shit can and does happen the will mean people cant make it The old ACT Supra club had a black list If you said you would attend and pay for an event and pulled out at the last minute (without a good reason) you would go on the black list and would make your word worth nothing Eg - If I say yes I will attend xx texi day, send form in and say will pay later and dont, same if I said i will attend x cruise and have a seat booked for me for lunch and dont show without prior warning...than a big black mark goes on my name....it stops people wasting everyones time imo It will a) stop people tyre kicking, you may say and b) might get people who cant attend for what ever reason telling the orgainiser so. Same should go for people who volunteer to help at events and then dont show, so the execs need to scramble to find helpers
  13. Don't be afraid of events because your skyline is off the road, many of us don't even own skylines or even nissans anymore. I'm still welcome and I haven't had a Nissan for years now, had a soarer, supra and now buying a v8 commodore That's the best part about sau-nsw is the important people don't care what you drive or if you Rock up to a track day/texi/cruise in a daewoo matiz
  14. Could we organize some friendly competition to get people interested in motorsport again and hand out a few trophies at the end of the year or free membership for the following year etc Not so much at our events but in general, example fastest natsoft timed lap at wakie, EC, quickest time at wsid etc You don't even have to go that far even some acknowledgement of guys like Neil and Chubbs that are out there competing Or just general life, ie someone gets a degree or a new job or has a kid, gets married etc IMO it would show the club cares about its members, I'll admit it's a bit softly softly approach for grown men and women but who doesn't love a bit of praise now and then Honestly I don't care about the lack of track days, would rather the club doesn't go broke trying to host them when we could just go hit up a speed off the streets day without the hassles or financial risk I think it is just a sign of the times that skylines are cheap now and owned by young kids who just want to hang out in a carpark with their hella flush rims etc, not taking anything away from the guys that are track day junkies but I don't think the young blood is interested in track days anymore A good example of my point is Sdma there are bucket loads of skylines in the act, but the last event there was a r32 gtr and an r30 and that's it out of 48 cars So keep texi days and forget track days for now
  15. Smashing the Limiters is bad in any engine/pump combo Shock loading anything drive/engine related is never good for it Set rev limiter to what ever the bottom end or valve train is good for (which ever is the weaker link) and besides 99% of the time the power has fallen well over by then so there is no real point being up there I can't comment on oil pumps because I've only ever used oem stuff, ironically never broke one though

  18. Not really a suggestion What happened to the club house? Would like to see more stuff happening there, if not for me but for the Sydney guys
  19. Yeah, chances are the car was stripped prior to being retired at the end of Group A or may have been used as a test bed for V8 supercars etc
  20. In group A spec it should look like this as they had to run factory intake manifolds
  21. its easy Moroso dont make valve covers for holden V8's plus the EFI holdens dont have siamese exhaust and intake ports
  22. There is a chev V8 in that one for sale, so definately not in group A spec
