  1. every 2nd Garret turbo has .60 A/R on the comp cover
  2. Currently my car has no turbos....the T78-33d will be here soon....the think with the yanks is that 2 years ago 70% of US drag cars were using those Master Power turbos...there are as many Fad/Flavor of the month turbo setups over there that I cant keep up. I would love to try an Precision turbo if it didnt cost me anything...And I have no doubts that what ever the 700hp version of their turbo would be a bit better than the old T78 in the response department I know you dont own a work shop...but you were posting off the Power Tune Account for half of it...so Posting on behalf of a work shop is same same. The bit I underlined...too me that sounds kinda like an infomercial...I haven't seen back to back results from you or Power Tune...All I have seen is Pxxxx makes this much power It's awesome. I would be really happy to see a back to back run on that S14 with a 6262 and a 35R at the same boost...then if the 6262 shat all over it I would be happy to say that the Precision stuff is better...Infact I even looked at buying one instead of the T78...but we all have our preferences As for S13RBwhateverthef**khisnameis. Pull your head in sunshine
  3. Manifolds no, loom is similar...bit like rb25 into R32 there are a few things that need to be changed
  4. I only watched 2 mins before I turned it off for that very reason lol
  5. tbh I wouldn't expect anything less from JSAI
  6. looks good but I wouldnt bother with the rear head drain
  7. It all started when PJ jumped on and showed us all these big power results at "only 33psi" when it was running much more than that. Of course we are going to question results like that...and I dont know about you But I'm not throwing 2k at a turbo that may or may not perform. It is good to see some REAL results coming through at normal boost levels though. However I always take dyno sheets with a grain of salt...eg. I have made over 400kw on a stock turbo RB25 just by moving the temp probe around, but you dont see me running around telling everyone to use RB25 turbos to run 9 sec quarters. There just isnt enough data on these things yet to convince everyone
  8. btw Dont get me wrong it could be a great car...I would be questioning why the original block isn't there any more......Only reason you wouldnt use the original would be if it was damaged beyond repair i.e its kicked a leg out of bed. I would be asking some serious questions to the owner and if he is a little vague or doesnt answer questions fully than walk away
  9. Its NOT all original if the block has been changed.. For all we know its a 400,000km old NA RB30 with the original turbo thrown on and then the car put up for sale
  10. Good for you...plenty of us happy with Garrett turbos or for some of us old Trust truck turbos This whole thread has turned into an infomercial about how much better Precision turbos are blah blah blah The one thing I hate and may others do too, Is workshops owners coming on here and saying this is the best product ever and if you dont believe me go and get f**ked and wont listen to the other side of the story
  11. Turbos and manifolds finally off...I really feel sorry for Toyota mechanics Lots of oil/grime on the bell housing and the back half of the block, might be leaking a little from the cam covers, the bolts were a little loose so nipped them up and I'll keep an eye on it. Also have to figure out how to get the factory oil drain off...cant get a socket in there nor can I can a spanner in there.... I was expecting 2 drain holes in the block ala RB26...but its a steel Y piece...So I may block the rear one and use it as a crank case breather/oil return from a catch tank and use the forward drain for the new turbo...Should work well I think. There are also the matter of the rear turbo water feed sticking out near where the new dump pipe will go, So I'll loop it into the front turbo water feed, which will be a neater solution to sticking a couple of bolts in cut off hoses...looks shit and tends to leak after a while. Anyway a few photos of progress...Was delayed a little as a had to rescue one of my cats of the neighbors roof lol. I'm quite happy with how it went today, only took 30-40mins to get the rear turbo off (just needed a couple of nuts removed though as most of it was done Monday)
  12. Have you clamped the AFM voltage to stop the standard ecu having a heart attack? What are the AFR's doing? what fuel reg? I would put the standard one back on
  13. If it has Garrett on it, than it isnt the standard turbo
  14. Very Rare 5 speed???? made me lol
  15. That sucks I hate that john citizen can report shit like that
  16. Very nice...does the owner just use it for skids? or are there Drag strips in India?
  17. I dare say they will leave you alone...I was never bothered down there in mine (QLD rego) because the rules are different here there isnt much they can do
  18. Yeah Journal bearing, Nothing fancy here
  19. GTR cams dont drop in as they have solid lifters and you have hydraulic Sure shave the head, dont touch the ports unless you know what you are doing or you will go backwards all up, you will gain maybe 5hp from the slight increase in compression.. Save your money for the head work and get a Nistune board and a tune
  20. ye a magnet or a pair of long nose pliers. and yeah can reuse bearings providing they are ok
  21. Its a good think that the bottom end turns freely. Might just need new guides and inlet valves and you're off again
  22. I dunno tbh. 2JZ is a drop in and go and has bigger valves etc 1.5JZ means building shit/modifying the head/block etc and I'm lazy these days 2JZ-GTE with new rings and bearings seems like the go to me
