  1. if flimsy V6 commordore rods wil last 500000ks than forged eagles should last 100,000ks when put together properly
  2. or you could claim that you deemed it unsafe to stop
  3. Skyblue I think I spotted you yesterday evening going down tharwa drive. You have gtr wing?
  4. Just stumbled accross this if anyone wants their coolant up to temp before starting, not sure how long it would take though http://www.jegs.com/p/JEGS-Performance-Products/JEGS-Universal-Freeze-Plug-Core-Plug-Block-Heater/1533891/10002/-1
  5. Twas not I I only got out of bed a bitover an hour ago lol
  6. Before you even start, I would take an NA 2JZ Supra for a drive. Similar weight, and similar performance to what you could expect from a 3L NA skyline.
  7. I've been getting that every now and again. Mainly the na section for me though
  8. ah fair enough, just says on the site that its a DIY
  9. That engine just comes as a box full of parts. still needs assembling/balancing etc. I would also be weary of how thin the liners get on the 2.2/2.4L RB20
  10. Ah, if it includes a rebuilt and ported head for 5k, than its much better value.
  11. Pete for PM lol
  12. Ben Would need an 80mm Bore with the RB25 crank to get 2162cc Using standard Bore (78mm) + 25 crank is 2056cc custom pistons needed either way to stop the slugs sticking out the top of the bores 80mm bore with 26 crank is 2223cc
  13. Thats all it would be. 2.4L needs 26 crank and custom pistons Edit - see 2 posts down
  14. Decided on the 25G after looking a a heap of different results on 2.5L motors, the 25G makes full boost a bit later in the rev range, but doest come on as hard and sudden as the T67, seems a bit more progressive. Idealy I will get both the 25G and the T67 and go back to back to see which one I like more. As I said earlier though, If I stumble accross the right RX6 I'll nab it instead of the TD06
  15. $5k for 200cc. It will make stuff all difference
  16. And I'll wager that they are the $400 cheap shit crap quality stainless
  17. *now i'm in over my head with something I said.....*
  18. Sounds good and is also why im leaving the Soarer alone haha.
  19. That is unless I can find an IHI RX6 in the right spec and in good nick.
  20. RX6 turbos are awesome. were based off Honda's F1 turbo engines and were the best around back in the early 90s. the A-76 should be good for a tad over 300rwkw, would make a fair bit more with a larger turbine hosuing and a heap of boost.
  21. I love doing stuff like that, but working with old cast iron heads, kills my equipment real quick Really need a good quality Air die grinder. You changing much with the engine or is it just a quick freshen up?
  22. I still havent done anything yet lol decided on the TD06SH25G 10cm, so its just a matter of funds really.
  23. 302 and 351. 302C was an aussie only engine so Ford Aus didnt have to keep importing the windsor
  24. difference between a 302 Windsor and a 302 Cleveland V8 is nearly 100kgs
