I do remember quite a few people saying the neo heads won't take a lot of timing advance before det, despite running the same comp as the earlier ones, something about the chamber shape.
Only if you can get enough timing into the thing.
also Rb26's have larger valves, different chamber shapes etc.
All those things will affect the curve/peak power
VCT = Variable Cam Timing
As for no VCT on the 26....well its just another thing to go wrong/fail in a race environment.....F1 cars dont run VCT so why would Nissans Production racer?

Solid Lifters in the RB26 over the earlier RBs, but NEO's have solids too.
Cant see why the 26s rev higher...Longer stroke, same journal sizes mean the 26 will be "maginally" harder on bearings over the 25
Ask who ever will be tuning your car. No point gettting an M880 + CDI etc if your tuner cant use it.
