  1. I see what you are saying and it does make sense, but most people want to see a torque figure and if they see that figure starts from near idle and goes all the way to 5000odd rpm they can see that the car will pull easily and effortlessly up hills etc. Well thats the way i look at it anyhow. take my twin Turbo Soarer as an example, makes similar power and torque to the BMW but torque doesnt peak until 4800rpm, and peak power is something like 6400 I would do almost anything to have a torque curve teh same as the BMW. Especially when over taking trucks and stuff when going up the snowy's like i did last weekend, I needed a boot full of 2nd gear (auto trans) to get the thing accelerating hard up the hill.
  2. Hahhah I spent more time looking at the oil pressure gauge in the Skyline than I did the road lol
  3. Saw "THE-34T" today I want those wheels!
  4. EMU is Sold David I would PM you but you cant PM back yet. Email me - andrew (at) watsonblinds.com.au (remove the spaces etc)
  5. Emanage is Sold lol
  6. What mods have you done, if they are basic then just plug it in and drive the car to the tuner, just don't flog the ass out of it. Or buy it and drive to your with it in its box and swap it out at the Tuner. In Canberra I would reccomend ESP Racing or Auto-Tech. Or In Sydney go to Uni-Group
  7. You could be right! I do remember it being 14 something for the piston (I had the same ones)
  8. We'll you still did well
  9. haha I have too many mates from england, and well he wasnt a "lad" or a "muzza" or anything else I could think of, so Chav will do hahah
  10. SO I take it there are no bolts missing from the turbo anymore? or were you in the Red Frog?
  11. Yay E85, I saw a rough maroon 33 gtst with 20+" chrome dinner plate wheels with some Chav driving through the Canberra Ave KFC in fyshwick, I loled
  12. Good stuff guys. Next trick is for Reece to win while driving backwards
  13. Dammit if I had the cash I would snap this up in a second!
  14. Ok just went hunting thought the garage, but cant find any of the info sheets for the psiton or rings But looking at the photos I would be checking the crank thrust or if the bores are perfectly round. The scores are inline with the crank, so if the crank is moving back and forward it will take the pistons with it a little.
  15. You can buy "penetrating oil" which you could squirt down the plug holes, but i wouldnt use assemble lube in the bores.
  16. Also, did the engine see any det at all? the Moly coating on the rings chips off when there is det present.
  17. What were the AFR's at idle? and did you leave it idling for an extended period or stay at a constand rpm for a while (eg driving down the highway)? What oil did you use on start up? and can you feel the scores, Gimmie a sec and ill check on the box of Precision RB30 pistons I have here for the piston-bore clearence. But from memory it was 14thou.

    Rego?

SED according to the RTA means thats it not a ute, truck or convertible Doesnt matter to them how many doors it has.
  19. Yeah you can rent one from Kennards/coates etc. or Autobarn/super cheap/repco sell ok jacks reasonably cheap, but get a 2-ton one, atm i have a cheap 1400kg one and it sucks! ramps are better than stands imo, but depends on whether you need to get wheels off etc. My trick is if you have some old steel wheels lying around, jack the car up and stick the old shit rims under your wheels/tyres and the front and rear.
  20. No gain to be had by fitting bigger cams with a standard turbo (or in your case a smidge bigger than standard). Cam gears yes.
  21. Buy some axle stands and an angle grinder with a big wire wheel, and be prepared to get dirty. Will be the cheapest way, if they havent rusted right through then treat the whole underside with a rust preventor/inhibitor then spray the thing with underbody sealer. Just make sure you get every little nook and cranny cleaned out. Might take you a few weekends but will save you giving up your 1st born.
  22. Nope, as said the PFC doesnt not support Wide Band AFR You will need a wideband gauge, which usually come with the wideband kit, I now am tired of typing wideband
  23. A walbro would be lucky to pump 180l/ph at 72psi
