  1. the major factor here is driver. I think stock times are high 14's from memory and that is with like i said a good driver. I got low 15's wheel spining and missing 3r gear at the heathcote drags once. I suck at 1/4 miles..ha
  2. i followed a fairly new hsv ute done in matt black vynl. that thing was hot as. made me wanna go to officeworks and contact my car. I would definitly do it if i ever won powerball.
  3. Yo! sure you don't wanna buy the jazz?
  4. I had to work so missed out. how can i renew again and will it be the usual 50 instead of the 40? my mem expires april
  5. my 33 has the child restraint welded in a way that it doesnt allow me to remove my speaker covers. wasnt too happy when i discovered it but at least they still work. ill take to it with a grinder when the day comes for replacement. have a look under your shelve via the boot to see how they may have mounted the restraints.
  6. no...with black rims stay away from bright "different" colours...they hurt the eyes. blue is good...not enough blues around
  7. wouldnt last a sec here...some drunk would rip it off and write all over your car with it. I personally think it looks the ghey. Id rather a nice racing tow hook like funky's thats a nice black s14 by the way.
  8. have they made a nest in your car or are they just going walk about? A glass cup with a splash of coke or soemthing sweet seems to work for me. i have a drink, put the cup down, go outside to do some thing and when i come back its filled with ants that have been crawling around previously.
  9. a genuine plastic or flexi-fiberglass compound will cost you a pretty penny, even more so with the shit aussie dollar. I think you should narrow down what front bar you want and see if it actually comes in those materials fisrt. got any ideas as to what you want?
  10. youd probably get more from your jazz than your line considering the shite market value now days.? that saying the line will cost more to maintain cause you never want to compromise and always want the best. looks kinda one sided hey. sell both and see if you can pick up a stagea then you can transplant some of your engine mods and whatever over and have the best of both worlds...room and performance. I guess you'd still have to maintain it though.....hmm.
  11. having a spoiler that extends and retracts flush into the body would be the beez kneez
  12. i find myself watching sbs and abc more now days...heck even chan 31 sometimes when they have those hot rod things on. nothing worthwhile on the other chans except for simpsons and maybe dexter.
  13. its stop and start but for a reason...theres only one instructor per section so he cant sit in all the cars at the one time..ha. as Al said its a training day not a drif practice day. Learn the basics and then go to winton to let loose. I absolutely enjoyed the day...bring a hat and some sunscreen.
  14. urban burger was tops before the original owners sold it off. not much difference but there's just something i cant put my finger on thats missing or changed..ha. Its still good though MMB.....is that the one around the albert park port melb area? If it is, that thing is a monster...all thats missing from it is a stick of deep fried butter.
  15. Im sure the timing belt wouldnt be the cause of squeeling so I dont know what your mech is on about. they are prone to humming but not squeeling. they run on teeth too not on pulleys like the other belts. Squeeling cause its blue....thats a first for me. I'd be suspecting the other belts just like the orininal poster. One of them just needs to be adjusted. Get him to check the belts again. I got all my belts changed and it squeeled on occasions too. The mech re-adjusted one of the belts and it has never come back. All I know is if there was a loud squeeling sound coming from the timing belt area I'd be very worried unlike your mech
  16. should just get the combination front dump pipe. I second just get someone decent to fabricate a pipe up for ya.
  17. doesnt look all that different and that makes it look ass cause they couldnt be assed changing anything. they just hit it with a cheese grater and smoothed all the sharp lines out.

    Defect

you wouild need an epa notice to get it filled out to actually clear the defect if im not mistaken. i think vic roads sites it in order to remove the defect. I'd say you may be getting one in the mail some time soon. 100db is mega loud considering you just replaced your muffler. I got 96 with 3" turbo back with hi flow cat on my dual exhaust. I can reccomend a listed tester once you fit the stocker back on.
  19. open your hood and follow the wires that go into the cabin. theres an obvious one on the passengers that run the wires from the ecu to the boost solenoid in the 33. im sure you would have something similar in a 34
  20. from memory for Q1. you cannot change lanes into the parking /bike lane unless it has broken lines. the broken lines will appear before a street for you to indicate and merge into for you to turn. You can even see where the solid line ends and broken begins just before the turn in your pic. broken lines means you treat it as another lane so you must indicate regardless. I remember my instructor throwing this one at me and catching me out. He said to always take notice of the lines on the roads whether theyre solid or broken to give you an indication as to what you should do. Same goes with when your driving out of a street with a service lane onto a big usually multi-lane road. You will notice a stop sign when you approach the service lane, then a pair of dashed lines after to get onto the multi lane road. treat the dashed lines as give way signs and slow down and be cautious even if there is no traffic. Same applies when your turning off the main road into a street with a service lane. He caught me out on this one too. Never encountered these situations in the actual driving test but its good to know.
  21. i remember seeing a blue one yonks ago in a jap tuning mag. it's diff but i'd stick to the autech just cause its meant to look like a wagon.
  22. take your trim off and have a peak if you can to see why its stopping early. could be something physical like the arm and gears itself. does the motor try to turn when you wind up eventhough its already up? mine does but is quickly switches itself off.
  23. might end up on ebay and you can buy it off them for 5 hundie. will you reimburse us for all the other chupa's that we eat before we hit the winning one? lol. will have to keep reciepts. I think ill buy one next time i see one....it has to be a competition marked one right?
