  3. why not two mascots. instead of a big mexican hat a super tiny one with elastic band that you wear. kinda like those circus bears with the party hat riding a bike. at the same time you must hold a small plastic cactus plant in your left hand. LEFT hand only otherwise it doesn't count. or a big ass novelty stovetop sunnies, like the ones you get at carni's. having a mexican moustache attached to the sunnies is a bonus. what about a gay ass SAU pose that you have to do. or all of the above and a strip of bacon.
  4. i remember my mates gts had a spring valve that opened up under higher revs so my answer would be no they are not the same. the spring was there factory to control back pressure. I'm pretty sure of that. thats not saying that you can't fit one on though. I wouldn't see why they would be different to mount.

  6. i replied to a post a while ago about how i figured how to do it just by unscrewing 3 bolts that holds the motor and just pulling it out and pluggin the new one in. You need a small mirror to get to one of the screws. no need to unbolt the window from its brackets or anything. one man job. Only figured it out after i did the obvious and unbolted everything, scratching my tint...ha. Don't ask me to post it up again cause i cant remember exact details. try a search if its still on archives.

  9. id like to know how you go with it. my revs have been playing up too. cleaned the AAC but it came back 2 months later. Cleaned AFM and that fixed it for about 2 weeks. Car would idle normally on first startup and then play up after abit of driving. Could a possible leak from the vacuum hose that goes into the EBC be the cause?
  10. get a new cable (dunno who stocks that guage though) or get one off a wreck? maybe try those batteryworld places. i'm sure they would have cables for their custom jobs

  14. it should if temp sensors are suggesting so. if she is just reversing it out of the driveway turning it off straight away and the fan still turns on then it could be a temp sensor/thermostat issue? thats my stab in the dark.

  16. i recon you would notice more difference with the exhaust first then the rest cause all your doing is bottlenecking it even more with upped boost...lol 10-11psi is safe. See how you go with it all.
  17. your thread title suggests you already bought it and your first post also suggests that you bought it. "I think this guy is dodgy" is an accusation in my books. Maybe you should correct yourself first for proper replies. Things like these are a hit and miss, sometimes on the rare occasion people just want to get rid of their stuff dirt cheap, sometimes its a scam. It is good that you want to do some research before with part numbers but i think you went about it the wrong way with your missleading thread.

I bought my car well before all this "hoon" shit, when the illegal street racing car of choice was the vl and the like. heck even the coppas back then didn't even know what I was driving. good old days. Over the years those type of people are still doing what they do, now mainly in imports. I'd like to see the day that they all move onto euro cars, that would be a sight to see. what I want to get across is I should have just as much right to drive what I want and not get targeted. If I'm doing something stupid pull me over, if i'm not leave me alone. Random breath test my ass, if it is then why do you need to look under my bonnet? Yep, not happy with it but it is the reality of today and it will continue with every generation.....until they move onto euro or hybrid cars..lol edit: correcting myself ha, yeah hoonings been around forever, just unfortunate for me that the mainstream have moved onto imports.
  19. 6000 jebus...i'd just get out of the car and walk to work...ha well not really but probably think about it. I know with my blitz controller you can adjust gain to make it spool earlier but we're talking about maybe 300-500rpm range. I doubt if it will help you drop it down from 6000 to 2500. I think you may have to look into the springy thing that opens up for boost and adjust that or replace it? No idea what I'm talking about. I'm sure someone will be more useful. by the way, did you ever get the car tuned when you stuck the turbo in?
  20. that is a pretty poor figure. you are definitely missing out on what a properly tuned 33 is capable of. having a dud boost controller doesn't help either. what did the mech say after he dyno'd it? he should have a good idea of whats going or not going on.
