might be a short in your steeringwheel with the metal piece thats balancing the wheel detatching itself and touching your horn contacts. Has been left shorting out overnight producing fumes possibly. Take your airbag out to check. Make sure you know how to take it out before attempting it. There is a DIY on it and numerous threads. do a search.

i dont get it?

search is your friend. heaps of info on where to start. exhaust intake mod sway bars ebc intercooler upgrade suspension good starting point. the list can go on and on depending on what your using the car for, how much power you want, ect. Ive done all that ive listed above including new clutch, exhaust cam gear, and other little nic nacks and im quite content as to how the car handles and drives at present. my next step is aftermarket ecu and possibly any other mods that may accompany the tune that I want but im in no rush cause as i said im quite happy with how it drives now....im more a responsive mid range torque guy myself rather than top end big f-off turbo power. ah yeah forgot to add alarm at the top of the list.

some of them have a real chip on their shoulder and they show it which in turn will most likely make one more motorist hating them....like me for one. Just like someone posted up earlier about the cyclist yelling "your going the wrong way", I parked my car, checked behind me for cars usually and it was clear so i cracked the door open just to catch a cyclist coming up so I waited a good 5 secs for her to pass before i got out. As she passes the mole yells out "check your mirrors idiot". I felt like throwing a stick in her spokes. I don't hate all cyclist, just the ones in spandex that take themselves all too serisouly, thinking that they are all steven segal, above the law.

how often do you need to do a tight turn anyways? will the cost in mods and labour justify it all? Im no expert but i think trying to increase your turning circle will probably adversly affect your handling which you use more of..I may be wrong. I have no problems with my 33. If I need to do a tight turn I come to a complete stop then full lock. Sometimes I surprise myself that I actually make it in one go when I do a U-turn in small steets. Just my 2 cents.

if your financially tied down with mortages and loans and kids and stuff its very rocky hey. My mate had to lay off 30 people from his department. Imagine, 30 out of employment just like that. It's a hard world we live in now. plan for the worst and you should be prepared maybe? Did you all see the footage in the US of lines of people looking/applying for work?

if your still scraping on an angle then theres not much you can do. jack your car up or get a new exhaust.

id get an exhaust place to stick something inbetween to reduce the noise. wacking a stocker on will kill your performance especially if you see how the piping goes, its like an "S" and its smaller in dimensions so your pretty much bottle necking it. The labour you pay or put into making it fit you may aswell put it towards putting a muffler/resonator with flanges so you can bol on and off when you go track..thats if your super hard core.

how about you just take some intiative and do a search. If I can do it and find the DIY on cleaning it so can you. Car is running better now.

whats fair trading gonna do really? It didnt destroy your engine. Can you without a doubt prove that it didnt come like that from factory and was adjusted durring his posession and not by anyone else down the supply chain. I don't see anything that yells out "100%" dodgy in your story. Your mech has learnt a lesson to check it before installing. So by your reasoning if he gets another turbo that isnt adjusted correctly is he gonna tell his customer to send it back or adjust and fit it? +1 one for your mech not checking and just assuming. I'm sure he's gonna check next time around, then again maybe not for the extra bucks. Unfortunately you were the poor guy that he forgot to check it on.

i dump mine at the tip thingy on the corner of clayton and heatherton rd. They don't charge me anything cause its not enough for a comercial quantitiy.

mine started idling at 1700 then drops to 1400 at a complete stop a couple days ago. exhaust gave me a headache everytime i was at the lights cause it was reving so high. cleaned it up tonight in the dark with a spotlight which goes to show how easy it was with the help of this DIY. I used the subaru engine carbon cleaner which worked quite well. Make sure to give the spring a good spraying and blowing as i think thats the reason why it played up in the first place. couldnt see teh gaps between the spring when it was dirty. Still using the old gasket and no problems so far. thanks again for the DIY

its kind of an asian thing expecially if your orginally from an asian country say international student to ignore stuff and not get involved. Thats been my observation in all the asian countries I've been too. Unless they've grown up or lived in a western society for a while majority would just heads down and keep on walking. It does look like there were some words thrown around but no one deserves that kind of thrashing over a few words. It's a blind risk too with people like these, they may or may not pull a knife on ya. I've been around the asian scene in my days and what I learnt is always expect the worse.
