  1. Don't mean to criticize, but the same thing can be achieved with a 3" SS 90* bend and a 3-2.5" silicon reducer.
  2. yeah black is so much better for the stealth effect. Couldn't find any back when I was looking.
  3. I think it may have something to with the tension the wastegate actuator imposes on the wastegate. To little tension and the wastegate rattles around like you mentioned and this also means the wastegate is partially open which explains the delay in boost. It really makes no sense how it happened when you swaped actuators which are phycially the same dimmensions though. I had a similar problem when I swapped turbo's. The core of the new turbo was shorter than old one, which made the actuator rod too long. My solution was to weld in a cable tensioner, which works in the same way as the HKS adjustable actuators.
  4. Yeah, GTRGTR is full of sh1t. I've got a saying 'never trust anyone from Sydney'
  5. It's metallic grey, standard spec. Many 33's had it, my belief it was to cut costs at production 'paint all the grills metallic grey that'll save us a couple bucks'.
  6. My internal wastegate made a similar noise when I got a hi-flowed turbo. So I just bought a tensioner and welded it to the actuator rod to put more tension on it, worked fine and adjusts boost (like the hks items). Probably not this as you haven't changed your turbo but something to check none the less.
  7. Some one told me this dunno if it's true 'cut the standard springs get them tempered softer and fit to standard struts' allows the car to get better traction off the line or something.
  8. I'd say keep it as is, I'm sure there's not too much restriction left in that cat judging by flames. And if the cops pull you up and have a look underneath you'll be set '1xcat... tick'.
  9. Looking at it from that angle left to right ditch the first wire, second wire is signal, third and fourth wires splice together for a combined ground, fifth wire is 12V power.
  10. Just wondering what the biggest restriction of the r34 side mount intercooler is? Would it be the cooling capacity or would it be the shape and design of intercooler that imposes a restriction on airflow. I ask this because I'm hoping to support 250rwkW (other mods of course) with an r34 SMIC and water injection would this be possible?
  11. Not so much that, but getting it to seal again is the problem to prevent moisture getting in. I've decided not to do it too much effort
  12. What's the internal diameter of the dump pipe?
  13. Could you do a bit of a DIY along the way too, just to aid other people thinking of using one of these plenums
  14. I'm thinking of installing water injection, heard nothing but good things about it if installed and tuned properly. Rather than having no intercooler why not just keep the stock one and use it with water injection.
  15. One of the hoses not clamped tight enough??? ie. leaking air, gets worse because more boost is building up at higher rpm...
  16. from what I've been reading lately why bother with a bov at all
  17. I think tuneable standard computers are the go ie. Dr Drift chipped ecu's
  18. Can't buy A/C gas in Aus any longer unless you have a licience.
  19. Wonder if anyone has put a modified ford 4ltr in a skyline...???...???...???...???
  20. In the words of Ollie off family guy 'HE GONNA GET IT!!'
  21. Hey you've got pm's
  22. Indeed, very cool.
  23. Well... I just got Own3d.
  24. Hi-flow will only make lag worse, not that i'd call 15psi by 3200-3500 lagy
