  1. Top stuff! Congrats!
  2. He's a "good kid" at 20yo??? He's got a child of his own yet he's "a good kid"??? Makes me believe there should be a licence to have kids since 20yo "kids" are breeding stupidity.
  3. Track doesn't have to be that twisty. My mates MX5 was giving another mates VT GTS a hard time at Wakefield. Last time I took a rental MX5 and blew all my other mates away going though the national park (S15/14's, R33's, Corolla GTi, Magna, Supra N/A, Celica). It's not about how much power it produces that makes the differnece. The MX5 simply could carry lots more speed into and out of corners.
  4. Sh*t! Pre ordered mine but can't pick it up till Saturday Still... I'm excited!
  5. They should last a while. I got a few track days (3 or 4) plus daily use out of them.
  6. Welcome to Sydney folks! A town which is quickly filling up with c0ckmasters and w@nkers. Last time some lil c*nts were walking the street like they owned it. I had to drive my CRV around the c0cks. One of them decided to bang my side window which sh*t me up. I Slammed the brakes and hit reverse at warp speed. Look on their pathetic faces.... priceless.
  7. Lets see.... Clock timer on dash NEVER worked. AFM's can crap out (Did some serious damage on my old car) Water in the boot everytime I washed or it rained on car. Front left light likes to crap out (sometimes can be fixed by banging on headlight) Gasket behind turbine craps out easily Thats about it. Oh.... BIGGEST common problem.... Too much fun.
  8. You don't own me! I don't see no ring on my finger.... :bahaha: Like others said, if the car's under your name, GET IT BACK!
  9. Yeah I'm a law expert too. After watching numberous TV shows like Law and Order, the practice, I'm expert now. I'm watching all CSI's now so hopefully by the end of the season I'll be a forensics cop.
  10. They proved it scientifically that rally drivers are the better drivers. What it comes down to is rally drivers have to deal with more variables than F1 drivers. Rally drivers have to adapt to conditions given to them.
  11. Left foot braking does gain a fraction of a second, over traditional right foot braking. It's only a split second, the time your right foot has to lift off the throttle, and apply to the brake. Wow, Initial D is right.... I thought it was just a cartoon. When the car in understeering, the front wheels lose traction. Therefore by braking at the same time on the throttle, you are shifting weight to the front wheels. Therefore grip is added and understeer goes away.
  12. Things have changed and now the missus is talking about coming to Australia to live. It's put a dent in my dream to own a Dodge Viper.... or is it? I remember that there is a import law which allows you to bring ANY car into the country, provided you lived overseas and owned the car for more than a year... something like that. Is that still the case or is it baloney crap? Cause I was thinking, buy the car and put the car under her name, then bring it here when she comes over and we get married.
  13. Me, me! I was here first! :uh-huh:
  14. It's simple. You don't sell someone a Ferrari, only to give them a Toyota Echo. What's your excuse going to be? "You don't need all that speed anyway" Monkey!
  15. I wonder... if I beat Webber in my CRV, will Frank Williams give me the drive the following Sunday???
  16. Just heard that Mr. Webber will be burning up rubber across the old coat hanger (Sydney Harbour Bridge). I'll be there! Check out their site too. Refurbished. http://bmw.williamsf1.com/en/index.html
  17. Stiffer doesn't = better. Too stiff and the tyres won't grip under the load. I've always said get adjustable ones because you can tune the sways into your driving style.
  18. Swaybars. I don't think it's good to have one fat swaybar at the front and stock ways on the rear. Car would understeer badly. Replace BOTH sways to get a better balance.
  19. Sorry folks, I'm out. Missus won't make it and can't take leave for the weekend.
  20. I like 2rismo's signiture. Street racing isn't drag racing. I get the feeling current laws aren't working because cops don't want to go through all the legal mumbo jumbo for nothing. Lawyers come up with minor techincal issues and their client gets off free of reduced charge. How would you feel if you busted someone for nothing? A cousin of mine got done for street racing a while back now and he's just to get his license back. What I find astonishing is he can't wait to line his car up with some other guys. Frankly, I hope he gets busted and gets his car sold off. Maybe goal time with Big Bubba will teach him something. It's scary to think that many other people out there have the same mentality as he does, not learning from their mistakes. Or even still, do they think that illegal street racing isn't a mistake in the first place? What it comes down to, it's an attitude thing. Young people get the impression that street racing is hip and the thing to do. It's become part of the youth culture. I agree that the current license system is a joke. Reverse park, change lanes, navigate around-a-bouts (don't clip the curb!), stop at the stop sign/traffic light, and hey presto! P plates are yours. If the current trend of street racing continues, imagine if the politicians raised the age of getting your license from 16 to... say... 21? All it takes is a few dumb c*nts on the street and in gov't to make this possible.
  21. Williams/BMW P83. 3L, 90 degree, V10. From the Williams/BMW FW25. Why? 900+hp and 19,200rpm. All weighing under 90kgs. Astonishing!
  22. I just got that too! There goes my plan on bring in a NSX type R.
  23. Yeah the people who petitioned for WSID to happen must feel like sh*t. They kicked and screamed for it and these tools don't use it. Honestly, spend $xxxx on modifications but can't afford to take it to WSID. Full of sh*t! What's more funny about these "street racers" is asking what time can their car pull. They give you some bullsh*t number, ask for time slip and either their dog ate it or they threw it away. :bs!: The best one I've heard it a guy believing his 89 Mazda 323 turbo can do 10's. His theory is that because he beat a WRX with a ball baring turbo (he est. it's a 12sec car), and that he beat it by 2 or 3 car legnths, his is a 10 sec car.... absolute genius! :bahaha:
  24. As if beating up the media crew is going to make the story any better.
