Grey enough to get a roadworthy and a defect. It definately does not give the all clear for any intercooler set-up as long as you don't have a pod. I think their use of 'pod' was misplaced and should have been 'Open element'.
Jesus titty f**king.
Regardless of anDru being a retarded git pull your f**king heads in. You know it will pass even if it's not technically legal. He actually asked a pretty simple question which only required a simple answer, nothing more. I am so sick of people jumping on their high horse and pointing out useless bullshit when they know for a fact their own cars have umpteen illegal modifications.
Why aren't you all posting up a storm in every thread that mentions illegal modifications? Where's your righteous fury in the cosmetic mods section? The business traders section? Just STFU.
Cutting the back out of the snorkal - modification
Different Intercooler - modification
Different pipes - modification
Redirecting pipes - modification
Non-paper filter - modification
See the problem? Technically any of the popular FMIC kits are not legal and yet SHOCK f**kING HORROR will pass roadworthy.
As it turns out the injectors are completely screwed so now I'll have to wait for a new set of Nismo 740cc.
Figures, the only parts I buy second hand are f**ked.
Lag times are not directly related to the size of the injectors and are not linear. When you get the injectors flow tested and cleaned they should be able to give you all the relevant info.
There are bosch knock-offs as well.
Buy from a reputable seller/workshop and make sure it's installed correctly and either should do exactly what you want. I've been running a 255L/H walbro for months.
I should be able to detail my build and power figures later in the week. Injectors are getting flow tested and cleaned today which will hopefully be the only problem.
Was the idle set - 10 min idle everything off, 10 min A/C on, 10 min lights on as per the manual? Without the idle being set correctly you can have all kinds of dramas.
What I meant was - they make money (not nearly what it's worth though) by selling drinking water that should be going to the public, but they make money from it so it's not going to stop eg gambling, speed cameras etc.
A lot of people say the walbro are shite etc etc but I've been using mine for months now. Made sure I got a genuine one and it was installed correctly. Real test is coming though with a PFC (finally thanks to Slide) on the way and aiming at 265rwkw.
Your fuel will not 'run out early' with a bigger pump as the pump does not control the fuel delivery but merely circulates it. As already mentioned you can run into the problem of heating up the fuel in the tank if too much fuel is being recirculated back to the fuel tank (like being stuck in traffic with a 044 or two). You could get slightly less economy if your engine was running lean due to a dying pump before it was replaced.
R33HVN I mostly agree with you and shouldn't have had a go at you. Sorry about that. The whole speed camera fiasco just fires me up even though I've never copped a fine.
You're not going to rethink your final solution? No amendments? Not even try?
Very well.
To actually lower the road toll there are a number of measures that need to be taken. The focus has to be put back on responsible driving and driving to the conditions. Driver training is severely lacking and this is reflected in the disproportionate number of accidents involving probationary/young drivers and yet all that has been done so far is more restrictions that don't stop people dying instead of better training. Driver training and education should include a visit to an ER and rehab for crash victims. More thorough testing should be implemented to gain a license in the first place and then tests to renew your license when it expires.
Vehicles on our roads need have proper inspections at reasonable intervals to lessen the amount of actually unsafe vehicles on the roads. Especially older vehicles that have less safety measures to begin with. More safety features need to be made mandatory on every new vehicle.
All road signs, especially zoning of speed limits need to be re-evaluated and fixed e.g. the road my work is on has END 80 at one end and END 60 at the other. Road repairs need to be more regulated to ensure councils and the state are spending enough to keep the roads safe and in good repair.
There's a basic outline for you. I'd call you on stupid assumptions with or without a keyboard.
