What temp is the R34 auto set to change up to 4th R34 owners will know what im talking about The tranny stays in 3rd until its hot enough then changes to 4th I ask because Im buying PWR transmission cooler and i dont know if there is such a thing as too cool that will stop the tranny changing up to 4th thanks
  10. well for starters its an Output voltage change not an input so it shouldnt in theory effect the ecu if anything it will effect the coilpacks themselves but please keep me posted on this im very interested to see what the problem is/was
  11. if you installed adapter #2 then that may be your problem My understanding is that is for a 4 cylinder hence the 4 yellow wires for the ignition maybe trent can clear that up but if its burning out splitfire coils then there is something more sinister going on id say
  12. i bought the two adapters recommended by nengun aswell as the one from USA (mohdparts) these are the ones recommended by Nengun and my understanding is that they were for the blue version and are carrying over on the nengun site they are the little black boxes that wire in seven wires (6 yellow ,1 black) the other adapter that nengun recommend has only five wires(4 yellow and 1 black) this one im lead to believe is for Evos this is the adapter that goes inside the EMU but on that note ill wait to see what your outcome is before i reinstall mine
  13. I tried to take a pic last night of the adapter installed (the one Trent is talking about) but my ghetto phone camera sucks on close ups also changed the jumper on #8 to the 12v system ill reinstall again today and see if my missfire is gone i hope it is *cross fingers
  14. Trent I was thinking what would really be helpfull well from noobs point of view is step by step parameter setting for different model skylines Stuff like the knock sensor etc kinda threw me and still have me scratching my head as to what they should be set to
  15. yeah mate the one from Mohdparts Ignition signal adapter??? everything else works just has an annoying miss at idle every 20 seconds or so
  16. that would be jumper 8 set to 2-3 not 1-2 correct ? glad you did this FAQ I couldnt find much on the EMU
  17. trent are you sure they need to be set to 12v it wont fry the igniters or anything will it ?? Mines set on 5v it has a missfire at idle could this be why Ill bloody well change it right now if you say so
  18. LOl yeah it was late and the camera on my phone might need a macro mode for the deadly close ups
  19. lol thanks guys I managed to track down what it is Its a Launch controll system Basically cuts ignition at set rpm point and can change them on the fly so you can master the art of launching
  20. this was in a box of spare parts that come with my car (R32 GTR) when i got it just wondering if it is of any use to me (like what does it do ) On the front it say "Techtom,intelligent ignition controller iic-460" I gather it does something with ignition timing but is it useful
  21. when mine did it it started off in 3rd not 1st then 2nd then 3rd just 3rd
  22. I priced a PWR tranny cooler yesterday measurements were 200x250 from memory and cost $119.00 do you rate these or will i need a bigger one I only do the occasional drag meet but because my power level is going up I want to keep it safe
  23. ive had mine stick in third before but it was just after i plugged in the Greddy EMU so i unplugged it and it went away (it did give a fault code of sorts a/t light flashed 13 times,dont know what that means) and the the next time i installed the EMU it was fine wierd things happening it does come on sometimes if you drive hard in manual mode but other then that i dont see it much my bet is it will stuff up the day after my warranty runs out
