Sorry dude have read bits and pieces only, but isn't the plenum a Greddy item? If yes these are generally available to the public, how is it a prototype? Or was this the fist ever Greddy plenum?

Skyline V35 - Stereo + Dvd + Sat Nav
NISMO replied to Vev's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Yeah, personally I gotta say there is a difference. I've had both cars out on the track and the to me the Brembo's were streets ahead. As for fading, isn't that more a product of the brake fluid/pads and maybe rotors instead of the calliper itself? Woops just noticed Graeme already said that. The 05 brakes are single piston (well they were on the auto anyway). It definately is a big pad, much bigger than the non Brembo 350z's but still to me the Brembo held up much better lap after lap than what the non Brembo's did. I went out with improved fluid in both, and stock pads in both and with my driving (not that good :-) ), the non Brembo's lasted at best 2-3 laps with hard driving at Wakefield. The Brembo's on the other hand were more than capable of lasting a session with me. Scathing, where are you?? Scathing is a much better driver than me, and upgraded his non Brembo's to Brembo. He pushes the limits of the callipers and will be more suited to comment than me. But again from my experience the Brembo's are streets ahead of 05 standard auto brakes. -
hey Frank, Any idea what brand the sedan ballast is?
-
Just did a quick check and if the US and japan sedan ballasts are the same then we have a problem. Here is a sedan ballast and it's very different to the coupe ballast http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/04-G35-SEDA...sspagenameZWDVW
-
daxx, I've only ever investigated about the coupe. If you can find out what brand the ballasts are in the stock sedan then I'll check with my mate. The coupe ones are mitsu*** something and I'd imagine that they would be the same on the sedan but better check to be safe.

Lowering V35 Cp, [std 350z Springs]
NISMO replied to GT350's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
http://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65190 Here you go. 350z springs will lower a coupe around 1/2 inch. Later model coupes which came with 19's standard had harder springs so may not see as much as a difference. The above will give you all you need to know about V35 spring rates and height. Simply do a search on 350z-tech.com or my350z.com and get the standard 350z spring rates for the gives years and you'll have your answer. If you want to be 100% sure. Otherwise, as a few have said, 350Z is lower and i believe more stiffer. -

Did a fair bit of searching on this when I bought my springs and it definitely is a very small drop. can't remember about the ride quality, but 100% sure it is a drop. I would imagine it's a bit firmer. check G35Driver.com, its been done many times. -

What exactly did you want to get tuned? There's not much you can play with in stock form. If you're fitting aftermarket controllers, then do a search in the state your in on who's the supplier and look for feedback on them. -
Stunning Malcolm. If you ever do decide to sell it though. let me know :-)
-
Thats cool, i was taking the piss out of this guy.
-
He's not on here is he Chris? oops
-
Oh oh, that's not the topaz coloured one I see around Ryde tuned by NISMO. Huge NISMO stickers on driver and passenger doors. I nearly wet myself when i saw it. The driver got upset though cause i kept laughing and took about 10 pics with my phone
-
Yeah they have a few coupe bits and pieces but also not sure how much i trust them. They do have a gurantee on their site that states all part will fit perfect if you go to their installers but again it's Carmate.
-
:-) yep ages ago. Unfortunately trying to organise something like this is pretty difficult. You need several people buying together and to be in the same state for it to work out best. I can still contact the guy if anyone is interested but shipping single units for larger parts such as front bars is very expensive. On a side note, is anyone is Aus making anything yet?

Congrats CRD, great news. Gotta agree with some previous posts about Japan no longer being the be all and end all of devlopment for the cars that come from there. Personally I think the US market is streets ahead when it comes to this. Having a V35 i can tell you 100% that a) the amount of aftermarket parts is 10 fold in the US compared to Japan, and b) with this volume the parts are much cheaper. There are a lot of parts that people believe are much better because they're from a Japanese company. Some are but you can bet that the majority are just as good in the US. Just browse around the web and see what the US guys are doing with Evo's and 350z's and compare that to Japan. Japan has some crazy cars, but the amount of workshops in teh US tuning and developing these cars is massive compared to Japan. You can also bet your ar$e that the majority of aftermarket parts for the R35 will come from the US. Greddy is quite big over there which to me means that CRD have pretty much taken the best possible route with teaming up with them.

My mate that helped me locate these says he has ordered a couple of sets. Do you want me to look into it and find out if he has them and how much? Cheers Bobby
-
Dave, I found that particular set for around the $80 USD mark (delivered). Put em in on the weekend and man i love them :-)
-
Hey Corinne, Any places left?
-
Here's my NA Pretty stock, but has NISMO shocks/springs/sways and Fuji exhaust. The wheels pictured will be on for a few more weeks, then swapping to bronze TE37's
-
Hope you're not looking for coverage of the 35GTR, on the targa site is says that had an off today but crew is ok. In the motorsport section some of the guys are reporting that the impact blew front tires.
-
yep, standard on manual coupes.
-
Yeah Wakie is great for a first time. Personally though, if you want the most value, i would go with a group like Autosports who usually have driver trainers who are happy to jump in and show you what to do and what not to do. They're generally a bit more expensive, (usually around $150 or so for the day) but if you're looking to get good at it instead just going round it's amazing what you will pick up from instruction from a pro driver. Last time i was out, the trainer was lapping close to 10 secs a lap quicker than me (I'm a track newbie) and when i jumped in after his instruction I immediately cut 4 seconds off my lap time. But for what they are Speed off the Street days are great

Why not wait a week or so and do the Texikhana?
-
Yep Spoke to Shannons for the last trackday I did and they pretty much said anything sanctioned by CAMS or another motorsport body is definately not covered. It pretty much covers you when you attend an actual driving "school". Like luffy's thing.
