  1. One of the forum sponsors in QLD is now supplying lips and i think 2 front bars for the coupe as well. Not sure of fit and quality but worth a look if your up that way.
  2. Actually thats a kit from Webber sports out of Japan. They make a very similar front for the 350Z. So it's not really a yank trying to turn his car into a GTR. It's a yank putting on a bodykit. Not my taste, but if you read the effort he's put into it it's a very very good job.
  3. hey Mate, I have a set sitting in the garage but wasn't really looking to sell. They're in very good condition with a couple of marks that you'd expect on second hand rims. I'll try and get some pics over the weekend, but PM me what your roughly looking to pay, as like i said not really looking to sell, but if the offer is good we'll take it from there. They come with virtually brand new rubber on all 4, probably around 95% tread. Cheers
  4. Umm no thanks. There are very very nice kits for a V35 that keep the car looking like a V35. If you're prepared to go the above, look into the APS Widebody G35 kit. Now that's a V35 body kit :-)
  5. Confirmed.
  6. Not really a crash, but one way to take 10billions years off your life!
  7. Hey Chris, Is this possible to do yourself? I have cruise control which was fitted here in Aus already running, but would prefer the controls on wheel. Not sure of the brand of cruise i have but will check this evening. I'm in NSW so if i can't do it myself, is there anyone you have down here which does this stuff for you? If it is possible, can you PM some pricing details? Cheers Bobby
  8. Yep, I'll be there to. Is 6.15 too late? With a fuel stop last year we got there just as they were looking to start the briefing i think. Either way I'll be there.
  9. What about a group shot on the start finish line? I think this was done at Oran Park once. Get everyone to line up in some sort of order and take a pic from high up on the gantry above the pit lane exit. That would look stunning. We can have newest models at the front - nothing to do with me having a V35 though
  10. one more for photo's
  11. I think thats the twin turbo one in Sydney. Haven't seen the add for a while but it's around $90k and i think it says something like "as close as you can get to GTR beofre they'e released' Back on topic that Z looks really really bad
  12. Definately. The best way to start off is in a stock car. It's all about the driving, not the car. I've seen pro drivers in Echo's put some hi powered cars to shame.
  13. XD9's 100% For some reason the XD9's always look a little weird in pics, especially the official Weds photo's, but in person they look extremely tough. Absolutely love em.
  14. Hey Anna, Can you take me off the list, can't make it up on the Friday, will be driving in on Sat morning. cheers
  15. Personally i think the car is fine from a handling perspective. It definately has an element of understeer but so do the Z's. Adjustable sway bars can fix this and even non adjustables go some way to correcting it. I 've got Nismo shocks, springs and sway bars and it's a massive improvement on stock. The positive for the V35 is it's almost perfect weight distribution front to rear. At a track day I had one of the instructors take my car for 2 laps and he was amazed at just how well it handled. They are a very well balanced car.
  16. And there's people complaining about the price of the track day. What other track day offers this?
  17. Welcome :-) And nice car. Black wheels on a CB look great. Funny how you miss your 33, i had one a few years back as well and really regret selling it.
  18. Of course you are Corinne :-) There are those guys called Oz-event photo who i might try and contact if that's cool with the club? On other days they rock up in the morning, start snapping away, and by the end of the day have CD's ready to go of your car. They were around $30-$40 bucks, but you get nice hi-res shots
  19. Haven't seen any reviews but very interested. There are a few ecu flash tunes for G35's in the US, and on almost all them one of the things the do is adjust the throttle info. The V35 throttle is controlled to begin closing once in the higher rpm range, from memory, and re-flashes hold it open longer. Hopefully this does a similar thing. Scathing has had it done on his 350Z so maybe could shed some light.
  20. Damn - forgot you had a Z But yeah was definitely serious about some instruction. My biggest probs I think are braking too early and a few corners where my lines are all wrong.
  21. Where do i sign for lessons? Oh and I have a V35 so we can skip the part where you teach me how to blow a GTR motor just jokes Dunc, just jokes
  22. Quick question - Are there gonna be any "official" photo peoples there? Like Oz-event Photo or someone?
  23. As a complete track noob who's done a couple of events only, I've gotta say the atmosphere at an SAU day is by far the best for me. some of the other days can have a lot of ego's on the track and it's not uncommon to see a veteran blast a new guy. Nothing sh!ts me more and it's why i will never again go to certain days. At SAU the atmosphere is one more of learning and fun, but at the same time "nicely" competitive. Add to that the driver training element and it's quite a good day. Personally for me, it's also a once a year thing, and I have no problem supporting a day organised by our car club/forums from which i have gotten heaps of value in the past. At the end of the day it's each to their own, but my only complaint with the SAU track day is that it's only on once a year :-)
  24. Hey mate, Good news that it's all under way to get the box back up and running. Seeing your lap times, I'm glad you also decided against the JWT kit I'm using as i don't think you would have been happy with it. I can't see a problem with putting it in the NSW events section. Everyone else seems to advertise track days there. I suppose just stick to the guidlines on what info needs to be included and you should be fine. The section is moderated by others but I'm sure they'll let you know if there are any concerns.
  25. "Epci Battle" haha, for there to be any typ of battle between me and you your gonna need to be on Flinstone rock tyres, not Nankangs How'd you go with the gearbox? Did you get a whole new box in the end or go with a rebuild?
