2004 Black Manual V35 350gt Coupe
NISMO replied to NISMO's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Thanks Guys, No intention on going much lower at all. The car has thousands of dollars of extras and I can't justify getting rid of it for nothing. -
How Cheap Can A Coupe Be Had?
NISMO replied to DiamondD's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Yep, I've seen a 2005 Coupe graded 5A and had decent under carriage damage when inspected. Like a car mounting a medium strip at speed. Just be careful guys, that's it. I think it's different when you shelling out 10 grand for a 15yr old R33 and different when it's 40grand for a 3yr old car. -
Congrats, welcome and let's see some pics!!!

Thinking Of Importing V35 Coupe
NISMO replied to NissanFan's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Thanks mate. I'm in no rush and really really leaning towards taking it off the market. Been looking at a Top Secret front bar and maybe a turbo kit, which has got me having massive second thoughts. -
Thinking Of Importing V35 Coupe

Yeah agreed Rianto, cruise is great and i have used a bit on long trips, but also done a bit of freeway driving without even turning it on. I like mine cause you can program speed warnings on it. 3 seperate settings. 100km/h for 60 zones, 140km/h for 80 zones, and 180km/h for everywhere else. :-) just jokes, you can program it though -

You can get them here. Do a search in the cosmetic section. I've been thinking about it myself, but went to order and couldn't decide on which colour combo -
Thinking Of Importing V35 Coupe
NISMO replied to NissanFan's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Actually I'm finding that used TT kits in the US are starting to pop up a fair bit, and if my coupe doesn't sell it's something I'm considering. As an example used single turbo kits can be around $2500 and a TT around $4000 or so, and both of these were with new turbo's. I'm actually also considering getting a quote here to a kit custom made. By biggest concern and therefore i think price will be the manifold. Everything else such as fuel gear, ecu, piping etc can be done locally no probs. As for importing, the only advise i can give you is that people don't give good cars away for nothing in Japan, and people don't buy them to sit in the garage. I say this because a cheap car is cheap for a reason, and a low k's car that's a few years old, without logs you can assume has been wound back. Personally aim for middle price range at least. I've seen 2003 coupes with ridiculously low k's sell very very cheap, yet a 40000km car will sell for $10000 more. Why? Cause you can bet your ar$e that there is something wrong with the cheap one. I've seen one coupe which was graded a 5A and when it got here had decent under carriage damage which was not on the report, so just be careful. -
I've renewed with Shannon's again. Really can't fault them at this stage. And now that they have the second car policy, my Maxima is cheaper to insure with Shannons than ANY of the major insurance companies. Also switched my home insurance to them, and they give you a discount if you have a CAMS liscence.

Are The V8's Gonna Be Up A Creek Without A Paddle?
NISMO replied to Black Widow's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Yeah, personally haven't really watched a V8 weekend for a couple of years now. There are a lot of successful touring car series around the globe, but the biggest problem here is that V8 supporters are so narrow minded that the racing doesn't really matter. The only thing that matters is if Ford beats Holden or vice versa. "woohoo, Holden won, I have a VK so my car is the sh!t. yeah man!" The majority of V8 fans have no interest in seeing good racing. -

Coch-runt is a knob. Nothing more to it. Unfortunately being the head of the most popular series in the country means the avergae jo blow sees him as an industry expert. As others have said his only interest is in dollars, and assiting race tracks which in turn could mean more events could take money away from him. That is what he's scared of. On a good note, Ford and Holden both toning down their support could be the start of the end for the series and hopefully will see more manufactures and a different formula come into it. Well, fingers crossed that's what will happen! -
Hey Waz, Nothing more to it at all mate. I actually love the V35's and as said am in no rush to sell and really have no problem in keeping it. As a daily it's great. I have 2 young boys and the car can easily serve a family of 4, even when we head down the coast and fill it with toys. At the end of the day, I have a young family and have just finsihed building my second new house, which has gone slightly over budget. Putting on my reponsible long term hat, the money would simply be better spent on the loan rather than being tied up in the car. I'm still a car freak at heart and will either move to a cheaper car like a neat 32 GTR for weekends only, or potentially a track only car.
-
Cheers mate. Appreciate the kind words. Don't make it too easy for someone to buy it :-) I've been looking at G35.Driver a bit and starting to have second thoughts, as i can picture a nice Top Secret front bar on the car and a turbo kit to match :-) Oh, and where are the pics of the car with the wheels?

Nice Job Mario. If your used to high end cars, all i can say is welcome to the world of Nissan paint. Renowned for being so soft that slightly heavy breathing in a clock wise direction will cause it swirl. I have a black 2004 V35 and spent about 2 days in my garage trying to get them all out.

Tell me about it mate. I really like the car, and everytime i get in it i change my mind. But at the end of the day, a big chunk off the loan now will be a massive help down the line.

Awesome event guys. From a spectators point of view, loved the fact that you could go most places and walk around the back of the pits seeing whats going on. The one thing i couldn't believe was the amount of people on pit wall. There were people with coffee on the wall, drink bottles, leaning back having a chat etc etc. Towrads lunch time they started cracking down on it, but really imagine a water bottle being blown off the wall into the window of someone doing a flying lap? Way to dangerous and there was no need for it. The best part of the event for me was deciding that it's time to get a track car and make sure i enter the next one Congrats to the SAU boys as well, and Chris, I've got a few good photos of you RX7 hunting.

2004 Black Manual V35 350gt Coupe
NISMO replied to NISMO's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Yep sure is. Just reduced the price this afternoon. Now $37500 with stock wheels. -
Yep, Unfortunately at the end of the day, I need to think long term and the money tied up in the car would do wonders for the loan. Make an offer guys, if it's ridiculous, I'll let you know, if not we'll chat :-)

Well after thinking about it for a while, I've decided to sell the V35. Absolutely love the car, but looking to drop the home loan a little quicker. Here's the link to the for sale thread. Drop me a PM if anyone's interested. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/20...50-t226640.html

Never been to one of these, and probably never will, but all the others I've heard of, usually have the go ahead of the place their holding it at. Pretty f**ked up what happened.
-
I doubt it. From what i know only the 2006 and up manuals got the stiffer suspension. It may have after market suspension but there wasn't a factory option in the earlier models
-
nope, none whatsoever.
