  1. that's awesome!
  2. apparently it is that one was for $99K landed and complied the other day (they estimate) but the exchange rate would have changed already
  3. j-spec already have them advertised on the site for around $100K landed and complied guess i'll buy a sliver one when they get down to 60 or so
  4. yeah- i saw it before it was homofied with pink paint
  5. whatever the forum has strict rules for classifieds. you broke them- someone used to observing rules and regulations for a living should have had no trouble following them that's the end of it for me. it's up to the mods now.
  6. if only we could get some working footage of the incident to see the car positions again
  7. dude- you just add to your trouble by making personal attacks on me and not to put too fine a point on it, but- troops stationed in the middle east (if that is the case) have absolutely sweet f.a to do with Australian national security. why don't you stick two fingers down your throat and cough up the Howard government propaganda pamphlet, eh?
  8. well that's in clear contravention of the classified rules http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=1281592 so let's have the thread deleted and the thread starter warned for not adhering to clear regulations
  9. okay- i'll pay the ceramic 'turbs (even though they are only good for standard, non-race cars), but exotics had multi-throttle set-ups long before that: 6 dual down-draught carbies on Ferrari or Lambo V12s, anyone?
  10. no doubt coincided with the switch from Magneti Marelli ECUs to Bosch that one's f**ked too :laughing-smiley-014: :laughing-smiley-014: and you call yourself an F1 enthusiast- McLaren has only 1 'a' in the spelling. you can check my Av for help if you like i can only imagine the comments "and Raikkonen is coming 2nd with 1 lap to go- and isn't that a shame?, 'coz Scuderia Ferrari management said they'd pay to have the stick surgically removed from his arse if he won today...."
  11. the only advanced thing about RB26's in 1989 was the ignition system (optical crank-angle sensors, sequential injectors, and coil-on-plug ignition was well ahead of a lot of cars in the late 80's). but the Z32 300ZX copped just as good anyway, as well as other Nissan engines the engine design/mechanicals, and non-sequential turbo set-up, on the other hand, was very much straight down the line
  12. fully rebuilt motor and no aftermarket ECU and dynotune? not to whore your thread, but things don't add up here champion- if the car hasn't been rolling road tuned, how was the factory ECU flash tuned to suit your engine???
  13. an RB26 is just a motor- if it has been poorly serviced during it's life (and that could be a loooong life if ur talking about a 32), it will do a bottom end bearing as easily as any engine where the owner didn't give a shit about changing the oil regularly. even standard big turb, more fuel?: yes- due to lower efficiency at low revs (where most street engines spend most of their time), and usually combined with lowered comp ratios on rebuilt engines AND bigger injectors (which give much poorer fuel atomisation); which automatically means worse economy.
  14. 'Not in front of my parents Cletus!' "They my parents too, Brandine"
  15. nah- best not to just use your imagination
  16. 1 gallon is 4.5L as long as the car is level, all you need to do is keep filling it 'till it starts to come out of the plug hole. just add normal g.b oil if ur out of Redline- it blends anyway
  17. that shot with the R35 behind the R34 GT-R makes the 34 look like some kind of dinky two-door Pulsar
  18. R32 GT-R's can run easy, repeatable solid 12 sec quarters with only ECU, boost, exhaust and clutch changes (the standard one would likely be well stuffed by now). that's common knowledge.
  19. having seen it in real life up close, i'd have to say that they do look fairly tough in the flesh. the roofline doesn't seem as clunky in the metal either.
  20. gotta fail that one- quite obviously a girl on the left there
  21. coz the dash lights and MFD had been on all day
  22. could be the dyno calibration, the ramp rates, air temp sensor not used what kind of dyno is it? i know my old 120,000km '93 GT-R made 262rwkW on two separate occasions on a DynoDynamics in shootout mode with only the following mods- Microtech LTX12 (map sensed), boost set at ~ 16psi, front pipes, 3.5" zorst, and an Exedy twinplate clutch.
  23. not adjusting well to the control ECU? mebe McLaren wrote some malicious code into it for Ferrari specific sensors
  24. video stooged by F1 Management
  25. Can't really blame Ferrari directly for the F430 fire- Could have been due to whatever fiddling the team in charge of it did the F1 car on the other hand....
