  1. yeah, why not- i mean, the same engine designers can just stick 'Nismo' badges on the V8 rocker covers before sending 'em out the door, and the car won't require that much change to the signage as long as Renault continues to pick up the bill
  2. the drivetrain engineer has said it only takes 20 milliseconds between pulling the paddle and the next gear receiving drive from the engine. with a Ferrari F1 shift, the 60 millisecond time is just the time it takes to synchronize the next gear and save, what, $25-30,000? the difference there, is that the Ferrari is initially designed with a conventional manual- where the R35 (as far as we know) wasn't
  3. Nissan is a stronger company than Renault now anyway. They should just stick to building their odd looking FF hot hatches and weird-Harold oh-so-French sedans i reckon.
  4. wasn't it a 550 Maranello? they are a different kettle of fish to an early model 575
  5. maybe compare our respective post dates, perhaps?
  6. Crimson tide followed by a silver surfer. Oh well, there's always next race...
  7. i got exactly the same result as Shabs. maybe it's coz so many cars park on the street 'round here. i don't, so meh
  8. *goes searching YouTube....
  9. If the V-spec goes on sale before Nissan AU start selling standard R35's, that means we can still get them as private imports, yeah?
  10. Hey all- My current flatmate is moving out this coming Sunday/Monday, and I will have a room available in my 2 bedroom apartment at Annandale. The room is fairly small, but you're welcome to stack any excess furniture you may have in the space in the loungeroom. Rent is $140 per week, paid fortnightly, and must be kept 2 weeks in advance at all times. Cost to move in is up to $280 for rent in advance + $500 bond. No smoking/burning of any substance allowed inside and no pets It's a great location- 2nd level apartment with city glimpses, only 6 minutes to the city by car, and a 3 minute walk along Johnston St to Parramatta road buses. Light rail station is at the Blackwattle Bay end of the street, too. Send me a PM if you are interested and I'll provide you with my mobile number. Cheers, Shaun.
  11. my best guess- the 'chip tuning' company flash tuned the ECU memory chip to give more fuel into the mix, and now your plugs are massively fouled change/clean the plugs, change back to standard ECU calibration, and get back to us....
  12. and get a shitty 15y.o Bluebird? or do you have a bush-basher spec 80's 'Bird?
  13. May as well come late to the party. I can confirm what a lot have said- When i had my R32 GT-R equipped with a lighter, 700hp twin-plate Exedy clutch, the car became noticeably more tiresome to drive in traffic due to the sharp on-off throttle nature (clutch dip often required to smooth the transition) and the increased sensitivity around the take-up point (engine loses revs more easily). That said, the response was awesome, and the engagement was super quick during fast driving. Just avoid uphill traffic jams...
  14. It's still better by a long way than any Commodore that came before it Anyway, who cares- Where's my R35? farken....
  15. Micks MetalCraft
  16. except for some late model R34's they came with leather interiors and less kidney-belt requiring suspension
  17. The 'Mr.Fusion' power supply for the flux capacitor must have been having an off day
  18. yeah- it'd be a shame to get some water in the wheel arches of the new trailer queen as they drive it onto the back of a truck in the event of rain
  19. exactly even finding the best examples of all previous factory spec GT-R's, the R35 will be quicker around any given track
  20. I spotted you first, but my scope calibration was out
  21. the black beauty is back with a vengence was good to see it out there tonight
  22. since when does 375kW at the fly equal 450ps? since when was any GTSt allowed to make more power than a GT-R from the factory? anyway....
  23. dead wrong nice of CRD to no-show even though the event was run
  24. the thought of an R35 'dosing' almost made me vomit all over my laptop
