  1. for thier price tag you could get an oem garrett gt2871 it would bolt up easier, be cheaper to install and probably perform better
  2. Rb20 and Rb25 afm are the same, the one you have is a maxima one and its the same scale as the Rb25 unit so it wont perform any different - also the max cieling for all of them is 5.1v and the Rb25 unit is good for 200rwkw on a GTST or about 12psi on a 2.5 litre with std turbo
  3. 34R pump is ok, as the others have said 10minu idle is doing more harm than good 30sec at the most when cold is plently, the engine needs to be at operating temp, not cold
  4. coolant system flush - any radiator place can do it i think they can also inspect the water pump too
  5. anything is possible - once you have the hand controller all will be revealed
  6. hi michael whilst i usually avoid cross forum member attacks etc but anyway - given his list of mods and typical fuel economy most GTST guys see i still think that its his ECU at fault, no where its a case of it just needs a decent tune, a sensor is toast, someone's remapped it to homo settings, or he has a non-supported 02 snsor etc it could be many many things, but overall one of the essential fucntions of the ECU is fuel injection control and part of that is 02 feedback, which in turn gives you decent fuel economy 300kms+ to a tank. short of wierd things such as split fuel hoses, loose fuel pumps, wierd filling up tank procedures (ie: him saying a full tank is really 30 liters instead of 50) then i suspect the ECU and tune is the next likely culprit. the recommended action would be to remap it, piggyback it, or change the ecu. if he isnt prepared to do then its needs more debuggin work on the dyno and on the street with a wideband sensor, which just wastes time and $. and besides he will make more power & response with either a remap, piggyback or standalone anyway
  7. The PFC will perform fuel cut if RPM > RPM-LIMIT in SETTING, ENG REV BOOST > BOOST-LIMIT + 0.25kg/cm2 in SETTING, BOOST (active profile) so if you exceed boost by 0.25kg/cm2 or go past the ENG REV it will fuel cut, otherwise it wont when you experience the problem watch ETC, SENSOR SW CHECK and see if any sensors go black highlighted, if they do, it means the sensor is failing
  8. haha yeah i spotted kaz and michael, nathan and saff, dave (miniwog) and another dave (black 34) last night at the belgian
  9. nah one of the admins locked the old vic one, was over 500 pages so i just removed it and made a new one - fairly std procedure
  10. Western Australia have one of these topics and I wondered if Vic would like one. If you don't want it, it will show by lack of posts and drift away into the 3rd page... noooo. Post the skylines (or other if you wish) you spot(ted) here smile.gif I will begin with last night on Hotham Road, saw in my rear view mirror a purple or black r33 GTR with a nismo sticker on the windscreen. And also a 33 gts25t off hotham road. Which i sat and looked at for 20 minutes whilst my mum was talking on the phone.
  11. yeah boomslang also do a vanilla loom extension as the one above from grid
  12. its just a standard gearbox dude, normal auto transmissions fluid from recpo/autobarn will be fine try castrol transmax z, thats what the GTR 4wd system uses, its the same stuff - autobox fluid
  13. hi all, like most of us at some stage we fit piggyback style devices or add on units to your car. they usually involve wires and cutting and splicing into the loom. most of you know this is very annoying, risky, painful and usually awkward. theres always been inline loom harness kits and patch kits, but none really cover a good range. http://www.boomslang.us/ boomslang is a company who make patch kits or harness kits for most piggyback style devices. so you simply order the suitable harness kit for your device, plug it into your cars loom and then ECU and you are provided with sub harness plugs for your specific device, no cuts, no soldering, no hacks, messy tape etc this makes all of the piggyback style units, truly plug and play. so when you remove the device or sell it, its plug and play and your harness isn't hacked to bits. you should see the state of my loom, its pretty bad and dodgy etc. supported products; - apexi afc neo - apexi vafc2 - apexi safc2 - apexi vafc - apexi safc - emanage - emanage ultimate the skyline rb26 loom kit should be the same as the rb20/rb25 so you just choose this item for rb20/rb25 they even do custom work, i was going to use these guys to supply an RB26 to RB25/RB20 loom for the powerfc its just as shame theres a few other gotchas when using the 26 FC on the 20/25, otherwise I would have gotten this done anyhoo - just a shameless plug, i wish i had of known about this product before i started hacking up my loom ages ago
  14. get an ecu and tune it or use a piggyback
  15. my item was marked as "posted" on march 6th and ive only just got the tracking data now so there could be a delay with the nengun posting mechanism or could be some delay in the jap mail service but ive got tracking #'s now so its OK i placed the order for the apexi solenoid in december 30th and ive got tracking # march 14th but their site is plastered with big warnings and notices re: delays with apexi items, as they have slowed down production which is OK so that would explain the big part delivery delay
  16. this is correct, nengun don't hold stock, they even say this on their website so when you order something, they place and order with a supplier for the product
  17. pm me how much u want for the apexi turbo and what model is it P25 ?
  18. hi david i am downloading a GTR r34 manual - should have by tomorrow - will let you know
  19. massive lag , its old outdated turbocharger technology and its too large for 2 litre there are better suited turbochargers - rb25 stocker - highflow of stocker - hks 2530 - hks gt-rs - apexi ax53b70 - hks 2535
  20. most boost controllers are in kgcm2 or bar not many controllers set pressure in PSI
  21. hi david as per our conversation i got no idea, i suspect something on the PFC could be toast once you hear back from CRD we can go from there
  22. hi dave, when you find it, ill be keen for a copy too thanks
  23. learn how to debug and troubleshoot knocking - its covered in the powerfc faq in my signature
