  1. ah good info you have will update my list of info
  2. do a search for stock ecu rich and retard protection
  3. the ecu is useless. you are best to get something that is locally supported and tunable. at the worst case get the afr's checked on a local dyno
  4. http://members.dodo.com.au/paul/docs/power...werfc-board.jpg http://members.dodo.com.au/paul/docs/power...underneath2.jpg
  5. that looks nothing like an rb25 PFC. The CPU processor type you have is completely different. RB25 users will have 7F83 CPU, would be interested in what an RB26 PFC inside looks like, no idea what the riser slot is for ???
  6. the mafia is spot on, anyone with access to datalogit can unlock it for you
  7. the s15 injectors must be manual JDM ones. australian s15 injectors are only 370cc like the R33 stockers
  8. be careful with the walbros, they are known baddies and the pump ratings are at 15v in the skyline with stock wiring its only getting 12volts
  9. yeah they will be fine at that power level, i would expect somewhere near 80% duty cycle, somewhere near there. just make sure you have a good pump to keep up and it should be fine. fuel injection is irrelevant of turbo, boost pressure etc. it purely comes down to how much is being induced and how much fuel you need to maintain the levels and make it combust
  10. is it plain bearing or ball bearing? they need to run different restrictors on the oil feed depending on the bearing type. Im guessing its a ball bearing? in that case the stock oil feed should be fine with its corresponding restrictor
  11. upto around 330rwkw sounds reasonable
  12. The same place as the boost kit one would go, tap into the manifold vacuum lines. Closer to the actuator input signal would be ideal. Also it is very useful on the hand controller as you have logging ability and history view and also can display it in real time with other values next to it. IMHO it would be much more useful on the hand controller than on a seperate guage in the pillar or somewhere else
  13. if the tuner doesnt know why the check engine light is coming on and why it doesnt idle properly then i would suggest a new tuner. the ign map being locked is an annoyance will need to be removed if its the knocking causing the engine light to come on (and if u want it tuned properly). users with datalogit or apexi fc pro can unlock it for you where are you located
  14. take it to a workshop
  15. get it tuned
  16. there is no tuning to be done on the stock ecu. all you can do is dyno run it to make sure its all safe and nothing is horribly unsafe. expect around 140rwkw for a stock gtst. many many workshops in melbourne can do this for you, check out the vic sticky thread for workshops; dr drift racingline ice performance re customs chasers creat
  17. But the EPA couldn't care if you make 10rwkw or 300rwkw. All they care about is emissions. If you change the actuator on the factory turbo to a 1.2 bar spring and they don't see it then they most likely wont know it is there. They don't plug a pressure guage into the manifold and have a specific test for boost. They simply look for stuff that alter emissions (that are measurable), loud exhaust screamer pipes ecu change piggyback ecu fuel systems air intake modifications intercooler modificiations running 5psi or 7psi or 11psi means nothing to them. It's how loud the exhaust is, what gas comes out the ass end, and so on.
  18. The testing speed of 5100rpm is correct for the RB26 engine in the Skyline GTR as per the EPA specifications on exhaust testing. It has nothing to do with how much power the car has at the flywheel or anything to do with what you feel is right or wrong. The gentlemans rule means nothing to the EPA and australian standards as far as I can tell. Boost is irrelevant, its simply a pressure level. Why does everyone care about boost so much?
  19. 3 hour wait is stupid. im sorry they just aren't worth it
  20. nah 700hp gtr
  21. eh was that a stab at me ?
  22. howstuffworks.com will give you a good insight into how they work and the most common questions and follows up on turbocharging and supercharging if you are curious
  23. take from the power fc faq: Boost display without the Boost Control Kit? By default as the PowerFC will not show boost pressure as it has no method of reading it in via the stock ECU loom. If you purchase a suitable map sensor and connect it to the PowerFC boost control kit port then the hand controller will display boost pressure. The boost control kit uses a Denso map sensor which is part #DPS 310 2000a - Denso 949940 6270 5V and the wiring loom cable/plug can be brought from Apexi which is around $40 AU. The cable is listed as the 3pin boost control harness. Nengun has this listed under Electronics -> Apexi -> D Jetro Option Parts
  24. very wierd, certainly not common will add to the FAQ
